We walked through the airport towards a lot of screaming. And I mean A LOT of screaming. There were also a lot of flashing lights, which I assume we're the paparazzi. I don't know how the boys do it. I was petrified. Niall must have notice my discomfort because he grabbed my hand and have it a reassuring squeeze. I looked up at him and smiled gratefully. I instantly felt better to have him near me.

"Just keep your head down and don't answer any questions, okay?" Niall whispered in my ear. I nodded. I hadn't planned on answering anything.

We pushed through the crowd as fast as we could. When we got outside, there was a limo waiting. We all piled it. I sat between Zayn and Niall. The ride was mostly quiet besides a few random comments from Louis. He came up with the most random things like, 'I want a pet turtle' or 'Am I fat? I think I'm getting fat.' That boy has no sense, I swear.

"So, are you excited Alana?" Zayn asked as he looked down at me. I nodded, "I'm more nervous than excited though. What if I mess up? What if everyone hates me? What if I'm not good enough to be on stage? Yes, I'm a great gymnast, but you've only seen me dance at that one dance class." I rambled on. The boys laughed. I was confused.

"Love, we know talent when we see it. Trust me, you got it." Harry smiled at me encouragingly. I nodded at him and mouthed 'thank you'. The rest of the ride was filled with silence and thinking. There are six of us so we're getting three hotel rooms. Two people in each room. I hope I'll be roomed with Niall. I mean, who wouldn't? He's absolutely gorgeous and funny. There would never be a dull moment. I looked down at our intertwined hands and smiled. I could get used to this.

About ten minutes later, we pulled up to the hotel. There was a lot of screaming again and even more flashing lights than before. I was honestly scared.

"Here babe, put these over your eyes. It'll help with the lights." Niall handed me his sunglasses. I quickly put them on.

"Okay Alana, there is a lot of paparazzi. They're gonna ask a lot of questions and say things to get a reaction from you. Don't give them that okay?" Liam said sternly. I nodded.

We stepped out into the huge crowd and the boys were right. Questions were being thrown at us from left and right. Some were just ridiculous!

'Why are you with the boys?'

'Are you Niall's new princess?'

'Are you Liam's cousin?'

'Harry is a womanizer! Are you carrying his baby?'

That last question made me stop right where I was. I turned around sharply and stomped over to the man. I was pissed. It's okay to criticize me and call me names, but you don't do it to my friends. That is not okay and I cannot stand when people do it.

"One, Harry is not a womanizer! He is a respectful young man who treats women with the respect they deserve. Two, I'm not even with Harry. He is my FRIEND and I will not hesitate to stand up for my FRIEND. You don't, nor will you ever, know Harry. You have no right to judge him or make assumptions about him." The man looked truly frightened. I would too. I'm not very big, but when I yell, I'm intimidating.

He nodded his head and quickly walked away. I walked back to the boys with a smirk on my face. We all rushed into the hotel lobby. Once we reached the lobby I was attacked in a huge group hug. Harry was the last to let go.

"Thank you so much Alana. Nobody has ever stood up for me like that before. You don't know how much that means to me." Harry said sincerely. I nodded, "You're my friend Harry. I always stick up for my friends. Always."

We walked over to the counter to sign in. The reservations were under '1D'.

"Okay, so I'll be with Zayn. Louis and Harry are together, and of course Niall and Alana are together." Liam smirked at me. I couldn't help but blush. I knew exactly what he was implying. I looked up at Niall to see he had a smirk on his face. I wasn't complaining though. I wanted to be with Niall. We headed to the elevator. We were on the top floor. It was empty except for us so we had privacy.

Niall and I walked into our hotel room. It was huge a beautiful. There was one bed. I looked at Niall and he blushed.

"You can have the bed, I'll take the couch." He offered. I shook my head. "Don't be ridiculous Niall. We can share the bed. It's fine. I trust you." I smiled at him. He looked very relieved.

"Guys, get your swim suits. We're going swimming!" Louis yelled through the door.

This was gonna be a great year!
