"See a pearl form, a diamond in the rough; See a bird soaring high above the flood; It's in your blood, It's in your blood"
I believe this quote is referring to human potential. It is highlighting these awe-inspiring examples in nature and saying that we have that in us. We have the potential to accomplish great feats. We have the potential to overcome our hardships. We have the potential to emerge from the rubble stronger and more beautiful in spirit. We have the capacity for greatness. Of course, hope is needed to realize this potential. It will not be easy, but it is definite. You will know when you realize your potential and you will know when you are on the way to fulfilling it.
In other words, we all have the ability to find our purpose in life and carry it out. The important things to remember in the pursuit of purpose are perspective, hope, compassion, and humility. Perspective: the way you look at your life, and the amount of responsibility you take for your life. Hope: an ambiguous force that drives you to keep moving forward despite the onslaught. Compassion: an understanding of the hardships and the existence of other human beings and a desire to aid those in need. Humility: the realization that you do not know everything and an open mind to learning from one's mistakes.
Is there a reason to find one's purpose? Yes! We were made in the image of Someone who loves us. We were made to use our talents to love and serve others. The Earth and all of Creation was made with passion and attention to detail. It did not just happen. It was created like an art work. So, yes, you should go looking for what makes you happy. You are not the way you are by chance. You have great potential that you can realize. You are a complex being of body and spirit. You are not a rock, so don't act like one. You were made with a unique potential and with specific talents. Embrace them and keep moving forward.
Perspective. Purpose. Potential. Any thoughts relating to this quote? Any stories? Can you relate? In about three days, I will start a new discussion board. Thanks for reading.
