After a while of grieving and sleeping I decided to get up and explore my new town. I put on my skinny jeans, and converse... My hair just was no cooperating so I threw on a beanie. I had an old band t shirt on, but I really didn't care at the moment... I told my dad I was going to look around he smiled and said to be back before supper. I started walking straight, and ended up at some gas station/car repair place. I didn't even know these things still existed.... I went in and started looking around and decided to by a cherry coke. When I went up to the counter there was a blonde guy standing, his back to the counter, watching the basketball game. "Oh... Oh.... No... Come ON! You had that.!!! I chuckled at his accent and he turned around... "Oh sorry I didn't see you there." "Is that al-" he stopped when he actually saw me... "I know I look bad but you don't have to stare" I smirked.... He chuckled and said "I was thinking the exact opposite." And when he ended the sentence his eyes got big and his face got red... I laughed and said "Thank you, and yes, that will be all." He smiled and took the money. "Are you new around here?" "yeah, just moved in with my father." He stayed quite while he counted out the change. Then his face lot up and he yelled in excitement "NELLIE" I took a step back in confusion... Until it dawned on me. I hadn't been called Nellie since I still lived here, when I still had a complete family. I smiled real big and said "No, Way, Nialler?!?" "yeah, it's me!" He replied. Obviously I thought to myself... "Look at you!" I said. "No look at you!" He replied "Look at the both of you." I heard my dad behind me. "Jenelle, it's been 10 years, and somehow you still made your way to him." He chuckled. I did to. The thing was Niall was my best and only friend when we were little. My mom always said we'd be together 1 day. When he finally asked me to be his girlfriend, my mom took me away. 10 hours away actually, 2 weeks later. He kissed my tears and I got in the car. That was the last time I saw him. And he was still as cute as ever... Cuter... Hotter.... What am I thinking, I just got to town and I'm thinking of hooking up with a stranger. I used to know him but he could be totally different now. My dad broke my awkward gaze at him, and told me I needed to be home soon for dinner, I told him I was right behind him. I gave Niall a hug, and told him I'd see him around. And in his warm embrace I knew, even 10 years later, nothing had changed about him.
