As the sound of something approaching their location is drawing closer, the girls run toward the nearby trees. They didn’t quite notice that they were actually close to a travel route until much later. Kuro took Haruna by her hand and dragged her somewhere a little further where they couldn’t be seen, hidden among thick bushes and trees with many leaves that grew close to one another and could provide adequate camouflage. After ensuring that they’re completely covered from plain sight, Kuro pushed away some part of the bushes in front of her just enough so that she could see what’s approaching down the road. Haruna didn’t lose her nerve as much, as Kuro adviced that she should pull in some air and release them as often to avoid building up the tension. As her girlfriend is crouching behind her, and her sword is currently being brandished, Kuro could assure herself that immediate retaliation upon the presence of any type of hostile forces is imminent.

“Keep yourself to your feet, Haruna. Don’t be fret and just stay behind me” Kuro whispered and the other just nodded. Somewhere close to their location, a horse carriage could be seen, pulled by two horses that were guided by an adult female, gender being identified by the shape of her body that covered her face with a hood. Inside the vehicle used as a mean of transportation, two girls wearing an aristocratic dress could be seen, sitting adjacent to each other. The other was looking out through the window, while another was looking at her nails. After rubbing her palms together, she proceeds to look at the quiet girl.

“Ruka, are you okay?”

Hearing that voice, the person named Ruka seems to snap out of her current conscious and onto the next one, looking at the source of the voice. She looks at this sole girl, from feet to her head, collecting every detail. Ruka is a young adult at the approximate age of 19, have a long blonde hair, blue eyes that glimmered in the dark carriage, have a slender body that’s still visible even in her dress as she’s sitting, and fairly white skin to adds up to her princess-like appearance.

“I’m fine, Rina. Just fine. Simply trying to enjoy the view out there. Don’t mind me.”
She continued looking back outside, and Rina just watch her silently, making a worried look. She doesn’t feel content with the current progress and decides to alleviate the tension of the current situation.

“That man…He’s gonna be there too, you know? I’m just hoping everything went well.” After expressing that, she looks to her left side, onto the seat, and yet there was nothing.

“Oh, of course. I’m sure it’ll be just dandy.” ushered Ruka, albeit in a sarcastic tone. After a momentary second of silence, the transportation they’re in was stopped, and there was knocking on the door closing the carriage.

“Reporting in, Madam Ruka and Madam Rina. There seems to be a tree that suddenly fell under about a few hundred meters ahead of us. Also, birds kept being spooked until now from that direction I had mentioned earlier. Your order?”

Upon hearing that from the outside, Rina took a glance at someone. Seeing that Ruka clearly doesn’t care about the whole ordeal as she looks undisturbed, Rina decided to respond.

“Just brings us through but slowly. Hasten our movement accordingly as we’d approached the point of interest. If it isn’t hostile, reduce the speed once we had passed. After we’re done, you’ll know what to do. Don’t worry about us.”

“Yes, Madam Rina.”

After things are planned and everything puts into motion, the carriage would continue moving forward. Back inside, the calm Ruka rubbed her eyes a bit, as Rina watched.

“This is so boring. At least we got another party to deal with. I’m just hoping they’re stronger this time. Whatever. Let’s…spice it up a little. I’m altering your plan, okay, Rina?”
