Sasuke POV

I woke up feeling content, last night me and Naruto spent most of the night talking just getting to know each other again, I could see in some ways he hasn't changed but in others he did, he doesn't shout or yell everything, he doesn't pick a fight with me, like now he seems more mature or maybe that's always been there and I just never bothered to look at him closely, he's calmer then what he use to be as kids and he seems to be more content with who he is, that now when I look back to our academy days I could sense that he wasn't truly happy, of course I wasn't bothered or worried about anyone else other than killing Itachi at the time and now I feel pity -though I would never tell him that- towards him, he's had to grow and develop his own ways by himself because no-one else would help him {what would've happened if we had each other back then, if we trusted each other to have our backs, would this still the life we were given} I thought as I stared at the wall

As we talked we leaned against the wall and held hands after we made out for awhile, I think we both knew that to continue would be a mistake for us, since neither of us was ready for that yet, we still have things to talk about, especially with our history, though when this whole thing with the council is sorted and we have that talk, I'm going to make sure I spend all night to get to know his body better, I know it might take some time before we both admit how we feel properly I already know I love him, have done since our academy days but now that we've admitted to liking each other I'm not going to let anyone else hurt him, I know I've hurt him in the past and I've apologise to him for that when I think about the time that I nearly killed him, nearly ended my angels life simply because of power I shook in despair whenever I think about that time and grateful that he never gave up on me

I finally got out of bed and dressed for this stupid meeting I frowned angrily when I thought about the council, well Naruto did say it's the advisors more so but non of the council members have enough power to say no so they have to do pretty much what those old hags want but this time they've gone too far, not only are they still hurting my dobe but also trying to hurt my own niece, they have to be stopped "what are you thinking so hard about" I heard someone say causing me to jump in surprise when I never even heard anyone come in, I looked over my shoulder and saw Itachi leaning against the door "what the fuck Itachi, stop creeping about" I hissed hating how he can still surprise me "it is not my fault you were too busy thinking to hear me knock on the door" he replied smugly, I rolled my eyes "where's Naruto and the girls" I asked hoping he wouldn't ask why I'm suddenly asking about Naruto

"They went to the market for some breakfast, you and Naruto disappeared early last night is anything you might want to tell your big brother" he teased smirking, {bastard} I thought trying to fight the blush that was trying to form on my cheeks "we talked about a few things" I answered not looking at him, I thought back to what he told me about what he suspects of the advisors and I'm thinking maybe this is the perfect moment since no-one else is here because he needs to know before we go to that meeting "he told me something that he never told Aoi" I started knowing that will get his attention, apparently I'm not the only one who's possessive about our lovers or soon-to-be lovers I should say "what did he say" he asked seriously I gulped knowing this will make him angry but he can use that against the advisors "he told me that he stopped assassins attempts on Aoi when she was pregnant and then afterwards they focused on Hina herself, he suspects someone figured it out and had already told someone outside of the village about it because he did say that they weren't from Konoha" I answered slowly, the look in his eyes scaring even me

"Why hasn't he told me about this before" he snarled heatedly "because it's not needed to be known today" we heard someone say, we looked over and saw Naruto looking at both of us while he folded his arms "the girls.." Naruto cut Itachi off "their both downstairs making breakfast I came up here to see what you both were up to" we looked at each other slowly before Itachi stared at him "why didn't you tell me earlier on when we were alone before we arrived here" Itachi accused slightly narrowing his eyes I heard Naruto sighed "today you need to focus on this meeting and then after that I might of told you but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that Sasuke told you before this meeting" he commented slowly nodding in my direction
