"HOW many times do I have to tell you not to enter my room? Hindi mo maintindihan o sadyang tanga ka lang?" Tamarah shouted exaggeratedly habang nakasabunot sa buhok ng maid na napasukan nya sa kwarto nya. She's been out for a jog at naabutan niya itong may kinakalikot sa closet nya.

"Miss Tammy ngayon po kasi ako nakatakdang maglinis sa kwarto niyo. Ayoko naman pong magalit na naman kayo kasi makalat---"

"I am mad right now diba? At talagang magrarason ka pa--"

"Tamarah, let her go. Ang aga-aga pa," her brother Lucas intervened, clearly just woken up by her yelling.

"I want you to fire this woman. Di marunong makinig." Tamarah demanded, pushing the maid away and storming into her room.

"YOU'RE out of control, Tamarah. Muntikan nang makunan si Alicia dahil sa'yo. I told you to control your anger. Ilang beses nang may napapahamak dahil sa temper mo. When will you ever change?" her father's stern voice echoed through the hallway.

"I'm just mad dahil hinahalungkat niya yung gamit ko. I just acted out of impulse." she reason out.

"Naglilinis lang siya ng kwarto mo," Lucas pointed out. Tamarah glared at his wife, who quickly looked away.

"Okay, fine. Kasalanan ko na. What does she want now? Money? Just give her what she wants para manahimik siya."

"I don't want this to happen again. You need to change, Tamarah," her father's tone was firm.

Ever since her mother's death from a cardiac arrest, her father had become even colder towards her. He had caught her beating up a former friend who had flirted with her then-boyfriend. Her mother had tried to intervene, but Tamarah's rage had only stopped when her friend began coughing up blood. Her mother had suffered a fatal heart attack at that moment, and her father had never forgiven her for it.

"Is it about Mom? Ako pa din ang sinisisi mo for her death? It's been two years, Dad. Kasalanan ko din ba na nagkasakit siya sa puso?" Her voice trembled with frustration.

"That's enough, Tamarah! You will go back to the Philippines. You'll be staying with Ross," her Kuya Lucas declared.

"Are you serious, Kuya? You're sending me away to a man I don't even know?"

"You know him, Tammy," Lucas said calmly.

She could never forget that man. He was ruthless and terrifying. She can still vividly remember how he had dragged her out of her childhood best friend Louise's funeral and taken her to a secluded place in the rain four years ago. She was just fifteen that time.

It's been four years, pero walang sinumang nakapagpaliwanag sa kanya ng rason ng matinding galit nito sa kanya. Ang tanging tiyak niya lang ay may malaking epekto sa kanila ang insidenteng iyon, they started to live in different places for the past years, na parang meron silang pinagtataguan.

"You're throwing me away to a lion's den?! You knew he hates me for no reason."

"Our decision is final. Your suitcase is ready. We'll take you to the airport after lunch."

"You're kidding me, Kuya. You can't do this to me!" she cried out in disbelief.

"I can, Tammy. It's time," Lucas replied firmly.

She was furious. The airplane had just landed at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. It was a last-minute revelation that she was going to Cebu instead of Metro Manila. With only her Louis Vuitton maroon luggage and a purse, she feels miserable, but she's Tamarah Asuncion, nothing can make her cry.
