Mark embraced Jinyoung's body in his arms and whispered in Jinyoung's ear, "Don't you want to move in with me?"
Jinyoung sat up from his lying position on the couch.
"To your mansion? Isn't it too early to move in with you now?"
Mark wrapped his hands around Jinyoung's body to make him lie down again.
"Why? It isn't important. We always have to go to each other's place to meet. It'll save us a lot of trouble."
"Is that your reason? To save us the trouble?"
Mark chuckled and pulled Jinyoung toward himself when Jinyoung lay down again.
"Seriously no. I don't mind any trouble if it is to see you. But I want to have more time with you. I'm a lonely figure, Jinyoung. And so are you. We can spend more time together if we live under the same roof."
"I'll think about that."
Mark closed his eyes and inhaled the scent of Jinyoung's hair.
"Mark"
"Hmm?"
"Don't you want to go and see Wonpil?"
Mark felt suddenly hurt to hear Wonpil's name from Jinyoung. But after all, he was just being selfish; he had got Jinyoung from Wonpil's hands, and he should not feel so jealous and possessive at such moments of Jinyoung mentioning Wonpil.
"You want me to? Why? Have you seen him?"
"No, I haven't. I should as well. You should apologise to him and make up with him. After all, you two are friends. Remember, he was furious with you because you did not explain anything to him."
"But if I had explained at that time, you two would have made up, then what about me?"
"How can you be so evil? Mark, I can't believe, you did not say anything for that reason."
"But you loved me and I loved you even at that time. Besides, explaining to him would have just meant lying to him again because we really were cheating on him, weren't we?"
"It was only you. And I did not say I loved you then, and I also did not love you."
"I don't know. I think you've loved me since that time. A high portion of your mind was occupied by me. See?"
"Seriously!"
"Anyway, the past is the past. You love me now and that's all I need."
After a long silence, Mark said again, "I'll go and meet him if you want me to. Shouldn't we go together? We should tell him about us as well, right?"
"Yes, but I'm afraid it'll hurt him. He'll feel betrayed."
Mark tightened his arms around Jinyoung in fear of losing him. With his heart broken several times by his parents, he had thought that he would never love someone else again, because whatever kind of love it was, it would just break him in the end. But Jinyoung had destroyed all the walls he had covered around himself and entered his heart and his life. Agonised he was, whenever he thought if Jinyoung would leave him one day.
"When did you start loving me?" asked Mark, because he wanted to hear Jinyoung talking about that.
"I don't know. I guess there was no definite point. Maybe, when I could understand you more. Or it might be long before that. When I said I hated you, perhaps I did not mean it at all. Maybe you're right. I might have been in love with you long before I had broken up with Wonpil. One thing, seriously, why did you always make me angry? You were always sarcastic."
"So were you. You're so different from anyone I've seen; and even before I realised my own love for you, I had always wanted you more than any man or anyone I had ever wanted."
Jinyoung's heart beat faster to hear those words. After all, they had been in love with each other long before the confessions. Jinyoung nestled against Mark's body in contentment and love.
"What are you doing here?" It was Wonpil's question as soon as he opened the door of the studio.
"Wonpil, I know you're still angry with us. You'll not forgive us. But at least, can we have a talk?"
Mark asked Wonpil but the latter was now staring at the interlaced hands of Mark and Jinyoung.
"Wonpil, I'm sorry."
Jinyoung's voice came out low.
"Come in. I guess you have a lot to talk to me."
All three of them were now seated on the sofas; Mark and Jinyoung in one, and Wonpil in another. Mark did not withdraw his hand from Jinyoung.
"After all, I was living under the delusion that I was wrong in accusing you two. What I suspected was right, I guess."
Jinyoung hung his head low and felt Mark squeezing his hand.
"Partly right, partly wrong. But there is no point talking about the past. We want to apologise to you, Wonpil. And you are my friend, we can't just end our friendship like that."
"I don't hold grudges," Wonpil's lips turned to a painful smile. "Even if you're now boyfriends or anything, I can't do anything, but wish you the best. After all, I can't lose you two either."
"That we want to talk about. We're now in a relationship, Wonpil. But don't think that he was cheating on you because of this, because I had to wait for his answer for months, after you two had broken up. I was the one on the wrong, he did not cheat on you, Wonpil."
"I don't know what to say, rather than that 'I'm sorry', Wonpil."
"Don't say 'sorry'. When I look back on everything, it was me who convinced you, in every possible way, to love me back. I should even thank you for staying with me for a long time when you did not love me."
"I loved you as a friend."
"Anyway, you two are still my friends. Actually we acted on our decisions. We have our own right to choose who we love. So don't apologise to me."
The atmosphere was eased, and the talk continued but in a more friendly way. Like nothing serious had happened between them.
On the way back to Jinyoung's apartment, by Mark's car. Jinyoung said, "He really is pure and admirable. I just hope that he'll find someone who can love him back as he does."
"Yes, he deserves someone who will love him so."
Mark focused on his driving, and the silence fell.
"Mark, I've thought of something."
"Hmm?"
"I'll move in with you."
Mark looked at him, smiling heartily.
"You'll? When? The faster, the better, I guess."
"Next month."
"l love you, Jinyoung, and I think I love you even more now."
Jinyoung just chuckled in amusement.
