"Guys!" Lavendar called out.
"Quit the trash talk, mama's calling." She cried, turning to Jazz. She had somehow managed to reach the end of the veranda and this was a BIG veranda. Like the way she ran during Mr. Kent's class.
Isabel was in a much more casual suit this time. In simple cut peach velvet, she guided us to the throne room which was just as magnificent at every other freaking place in the place. The room had a long carpet running through the middle leading to the throne which was made of gold with a fanned out design at the back. Like a peacocks' tail. Studded with lapis and ruby and emerald and jewels I have never even seen.
Fanning out through the entire wall. The other walls were covered from floor to ceiling in windows of stained glass, each done in incredible detail. I scanned through the scenes, of war and women and cities. Then I turn and full on stare at the stained glass in front of me.
It's the fire lady. The one from the fire, the one from lion- head's class. The one from my nightmares.
The queen turned to me. "It's time for a story."
