Brittany's POV

"Thank you so much Mr. Lee", I say walking out.

"Are you okay", Bree asks.

"Yeah where's Jake at", I ask.

"Um well", Jovi starts. "I'm not sure".

"He went to go find the restroom", Bree says.

"So why didn't you show him where it was", I ask.

"Um well because", Bree starts.

"He left", Eli blurts out.

"Okay why didn't you just say he left", I say.

"We didn't know. I guess he old the boys and Ryan said his mom called him he had to go home", Jovi slowly says.

I stand there and don't say a word.

"Well let's go then we don't have to wait for him", I say storming out to the car.

"Hey Britt are you okay", Ethan says.

I hug them again and put all the bags in the trunk. The boys are already in the car so I quickly sit in the front.

"So um I know I don't really know you but I'm sorry. I can see that your trying with Ryan", Ethan says.

"Thanks Eth", I say.

"Anytime", he says.

"You are very quiet", I say.

"Yeah I mainly stay home and read so I don't think I'm going to the party", he says.

"Oh okay well I'm glad to hear that you are talking now", I say. "But you have to go to the party so I can talk to someone who isn't well like Jake".

He smiles and nods then looks out the window.

We quickly get to the house and I see Julia taking off from Ryans house which is on the other side of the boys house. I grab the bags after I tell the boys bye. I go upstairs into my room and lay down the stuff. I sit on my bed and almost cry. I know Ryan is best friends with Julia but that's fucked up. Like why did she even go over? Ugh I hate them! Ryan should have at least told me. I grab my phone out and call Bree.

Me: Hey so guess who I saw leaving Ryan's house when I was pulling up. 

Bree: No she didn't

Me: Yes dude. This shits annoying and if I ask Ryan about it he's just gonna say they're best friends so she was just chilling with him.

Bree: So do you the same thing to him

Me: what do you mean he's not gonna care if we hang out

Bree: No honey. The boys. He'll be pissed if y'all hang out

Me: Do you really think he will get jealous

Bree: only one way to find out

Me: you're right I'm going to act hella buddy buddy with the boys

Bree: Including Ryan

Me: Fine

Bree: Okay well meet you at the school

Me: see you there boo

The first thing that pops into my mind is GIFTS. Ryan hates when I buy the girls stuff so he'll hate it more if I buy the guys things.

I grab my keys and go to my favorite book shop. I walk in and smile at Frank the bookkeeper. 

"Wow you haven't been here for a while how have you been", he asks.
