Percy Jackson and the search for Poseidon's Trident

Chapter 16: unexpected arrivals

Percy knew at an instant, she's not going to make it out. Suddenly from out of the corner of his eye a gigantic column of water erupted from the big house. What in hades is going on? Percy thought. Then unexpectedly, the water blasted the hydra right in the face sending it sprawling directly into the spear of the goddess Athena. As percy turned around the unexpected visitor spoke. "Hello percy, it is good to see you again". As percy turned around completely, someone he didn't expect to be here, stood before him. His father, Poseidon. And in his right hand, he held, his golden trident. "I wanted to thank you percy, for retrieving my trident for me. You have helped the gods avoid a great war." Poseidon told him. "I expected the thief would have been hades himself. but i was wrong." He turned towards Annabeth who stood next to Percy with the wrapped up bundle. "Your mother and i have had i rivalry for far to long. It's time that we made peace. We have decided upon building a cabin for you and Percy. The cabin will be built right here in the center of the camp." He knelt down towards percy. "Raise the child well, my son. Keep him hid, from the dangers that lurk in the depths of Tartarus. Make him train, so that he may survive what lurks in the near future, and remember Percy, i will always be with you." And with that, the sea god disappeared into a geyser of water, splashing back into the lake that wrapped around Camp Half-Blood. Annabeth turned towards her mother. "Why did you two make peace with each other?" She asked. "It was necessary." The goddess replied. "Now that we have succeeded in destroying the giants, we can finally rebuild Olympus." and with that the goddess Athena, disappeared in a giant flash of white light. 

They were finally home. Now Percy could start worrying about his family and his son.
