"I hate playing against you" Alison muttered as she looked at the chess board in front of her. Edward grinned amused as he watched her think of all different possibilities.

"Cause I'm so good?" He asked grinning.

"Cause you cheat" She replied hesitating to make the next move. However, the move was one that lead to her Kings demise ending the game. "I thought this game was an I'm sorry for being a jerk, not more proof that you are one" She said pouting and crossing her arms.

"I am sorry" He said and she glanced at him. "I don't mean to hurt your feelings" He said.

"Only Rose's" She said and he couldn't help but to smile a little bit. He did enjoy annoying Rose, only cause it was so easy. However, when he made Alison upset, he only felt guilty which is why he tried to avoid doing it at all costs. He didn't need more guilt on his conscious.

"Alright, you two, we should be getting to school" Alice said walking towards them. Alison nodded standing up before racing to get her backpack. "Did you at least let her win?" She asked.

"No, but I did apologize" He said and she smiled rolling her eyes.

"Well I guess, that's better than nothing. Come on" She said and they left for school.

"You know, he said he was sorry, but I'm not sure what he was sorry about." Alison muttered watching Edward walk up to Bella during lunch. Rose was hard core glaring at their brother and Alison could only imagine how loud her thoughts were.

"Look, why don't we just.. hang out" Bella suggest catching everybody's attention. "Come to the beach with us" Bella said looking at him.

"Which beach?" Edward questioned considering the offer.

"La Push" She told him. Rose smirked triumphantly knowing very well he couldn't go to the beach with her. "Is something wrong with that beach?" She asked noticing that Edward suddenly look uninterested.

"It's just a little crowded" He said before walking away.

"Serves him right" Rose said and Alison looked at him.

"Oh give him a break, he seems to really like the girl" Alison said.

"You don't understand, Alison, he shouldn't have saved her, he shouldn't be getting to know her, he shouldn't be doing anything with her" Rose snapped. Alison rolled her eyes standing up and walked away not wanting to get more of Rose's wrath.

"Where are you going?" Esme questioned walking out of the house seeing Alison heading towards the forest.

"I'm just, going hunting... haven't gone in a while" She said and Esme slowly nodded.

"Do you want some company? I can come with you" She said but Alison just shook her head.

"I'll be alright, thank you" She said before disappearing into the night. Alison hadn't lied completely, she just didn't tell her the complete truth. After feeding on a couple of deer she raced further away from the Cullen's house. In a matter of minutes she was standing on a hill over looking her home town. She hesitated but walked through the town. It had been a while since she had been here and it had changed a lot since she was human.

Looking around she quickly hid behind a newsstand looking across the street. There stood her oldest brother walking down the street with his wife, who was once one of her closest friends. She couldn't help but to smile sadly at them. She was so happy with how happy they looked. She missed them so much and wanted to catch up, but it just wasn't possible.
