The nurse was a tall Irish woman with long brown hair. From what I've heard, she had worked in a hospital for three years but she eventually gave it up. She said that being in the hospital and hearing the patients moan out of pain and the scorching sadness every night made her depressed. After a year of being an unemployed, she finally got a job for doing the same things she did in the hospital only, this time, she wouldn't be working at night with the aged patients but young teens.
When we entered her office, her usually cheerful face suddenly became alert.
"What happened?" She asked getting up from her chair and running towards us. She took the girl's hand and led her to a small bed in the corner.
The blonde chick willingly went to sit on the bed.
I turned towards the nurse to answer her question. Emma- I suddenly reacalled her name.
"Eh.. You see, Emma, I got into a fi-" I began sheepishly when suddely the girl cut me off.
"I fell down the staircase." She said. "I hit my head and I feel kinda dizzy, though it's not swollen anywhere. I'm pretty sure that an ice-pack would do the job. Or maybe I should lie down, you know, so the dizziness would go away. It's not her fault at all. It's mine. I wasn't watching where I was going. I was reading..um.umm...Yeah!..I was reading Romeo & Juliet and I didn't even realize that I had missed a stair until I was flying in the air-"
"I pushed her. She fell down and hit her head pretty hard. She might have a concussion." I spoke in the middle of her rant, sparing Emma from her unbeleivable excuses. I mean, who the fuck reads Romeo & Juliet while walking.
Emma gave me disapproving look.
"You fought again? Do any other people know?" She asked her mouth settling on a dissatisfied frown.
"Yeah, I bet the principal already heard. Almost all the student body saw me hitting Kate." I answered.
" Kate? You mean, the juniors' class president?" I nodded. "What is wrong with you? You'll get in trouble. It's your third time this month. The year is just beginning and you've already taken your final pass." She scolded me severely.
"So? It's not my fault that everyone in this school is trying to rage a fucking war against me." I muttered bitterly.
"You know I didn't mean it that way. Rin, you're too short-tempered. Try taking anger management classes or meditation, it will surely do you some good. Take it from someone who knows. I've been seeing these things for many years."
Oh. Hell.
"These classes will help you to ge-"
"You take care of this girl." I was suddenly in a frenzy to get far away from here. I quickly searched for an exucse. "I gotta get home before Mom arrives and realizes something fishy. Luke was supposed to drop me home but he's out, so, I gotta hurry if I wanna take the bus. And you know how there's no public transportation this late." I said turning away and running towards the exit.
Before I got out of the door, I looked back.
"Oh and Emma, make sure that she doesn't have a concussion or anything of that sort before you let her go." I called out, looking at the innocent girl quietly massaging her temples. "From what I've seen, she has a very bad habit of thinking too much about others."
I think I heard a very faint "Ok" from Emma, but I couldn't be sure since I was already out of the room.

My shitty mood reached its peak when, as expected, I couldn't find a bus. The drive from my house to the school was about twenty minutes, more or less. But when I had to walk, it took a freaking hour to get home. I felt more and more angry when I couldn't find anything good enough to eat. The fridge had some vegetables and some fruits that I'd no idea what to do with. There was an empty carton of milk and some half-eaten muffins from this morning. In conclusion, I'd nothing to fill my empty stomach. Which is why, I'd decided to buy something to eat. Only after a second of this brilliant idea, I remembered that I had no money. At all. Great, just great.
