Dipper's P.O.V

- - -

I look out the car window and yawn as my dad pulls up. Rubbing my eyes, I check my watch for the time, and the screen shows 07:21 A.M. Me and my twin sister, Mabel Pines, are back at Gravity Falls, Oregon. Only this time, our parents have to let us stay here for until they sort whatever's going on out.

Dad gets out of the car to get some fresh air. I hear Mabel talking to mom but I don't pay attention to what they're talking about. I let the view of the small town sink in my mind. I feel Mabel nudging me and I turn my head towards her. She asks me, "Do you not want to have your last words with mom?" I nod.

Mabel gets out of the car and I move to the middle seat and look at my mom. "Hi sweetie," she continues, "Your father and I will miss you and Mabel so much." I show a faint smile on my face, and I hug my mom.

While we're hugging each other, I say quietly to her, "I know, mom. Just...take care of yourselves when you get there, alright?" I pull away from the hug.

I hear her sigh. "I'm sorry we have to go, baby boy. It's just that..." She starts to tear up. I quickly grab a ply of tissue from the tissue box from behind me. She smiles and wipes her tears away. "Thank you, Dipper."

"Okay, all right." I say. "It's fine if you don't continue what you were going to say. I already understand. Mabel understands, too. Besides, it's for the best." She chuckles.

She says, "You two grow up so fast. I remember when you both were still in diapers, still very young, still so innocent," she chuckles again. "And now, look at you. You both have grown to be beautiful people. You have been more mature. Mabel is too." I smile.

She kisses my forehead. "We'll call every week to check on how you're doing, okay? Don't ever forget that I love you." I nod. We hug once more, only for a short moment this time, and I get out of the car to get my things.

Apparently, Mabel has already taken them out for me. I say a thanks to her, and she nods, as in you're welcome. Our dad comes towards us and pulls us into a group hug. He smiles at the both of us. "Take care of each other, okay?" He says and we nod.

He messes with my hair. "Dad!" I groan, and then chuckle. He plants a kiss on Mabel's head, and Mabel returns one to him on his cheek.

"Tell Stan we said hi. Bye, kiddos." He says to us, hugs us one more time and gets in the car. Me and Mabel wave at them as the car starts to move. My dad honks the car and we smile.

"Bye!" Mabel shouts out in a caring way. Her smile slowly fades away as she puts her hands on her hips and sighs. Her hair falls down her waist in a flawless way. Realizing what I was thinking of her, I shake the thought away and grab my bags.

Mabel looks behind me and gasps. She squeals and runs toward something or someone. I look at what, or who, she is running towards to and I also gasp at the sight of her.

Wendy Corduroy stands not too far from where I am. She's wearing a skirt, with a black sleeveless shirt tucked in it. "Wendy," I clear my voice, "You look different. A good different, that is. When did...this side of you happen?"

She giggles and fluffs up her curly hair. "Earlier this year. I guess it's just a phase I'll get over with real quick, but hey, at least I look good, right?" She says, giving me a hug. I take in her lovely scent and she pulls away from the hug. I feel my smile get bigger.

"You know, Mabel, you should ask Wendy for her perfume. She smells great," I say to my sister, and she lifts an eyebrow. Wendy giggles.

"Perfume? You use perfume? What kind?" she asks almost immediately, and then lets out a chuckle. "I so want whatever you have. The thing is, I've got no money. So I'll just take a step back from whatever needs money."

"You can always borrow my stuff, you know that, Mabes. So if you're in need of perfume, or you know, other personal girl stuff, you can come right to me." Wendy lifts one of the suitcases. "Come on, Stan's waiting."

Mabel takes her stuff and we walk to the Mystery Shack. I take a glance at Wendy, and a small smile creeps on my face. She is beautiful, always was, always will be. Do I still like her? Or is this just a phase?

My sister nudges me. "Hey, Dip, watch where you're walking. You almost fell, and yet you look like you didn't notice."

I snap out of my trance. "I did? Well, that's enough looking at Wendy for now, then." I see Wendy looking at me, and I sneak a wink at her. She looks down and giggles.

"Since when did you flirt, huh, twin brother?" Mabel laughs. "Look what puberty did to you."

We finally get to the Mystery Shack. I open the door and I am greeted with an oink. I put down my bags on the floor and carry the pig on the carpet. "Hey Waddles. How've you been?" I ask him, as if he could talk back.

Mabel comes in and she puts down her bags too. I put Waddles down and I see Grunkle Stan as his usual self, scratching his back and looking at me and Mabel. He grins.

"Welcome back to the shack, kids!"

Author's Note:

Hello!

I'm Michelle, the author. I was previously known as HiiiItsMichelle (triple lowercase i's), but I changed my user to SincerelyMA.

This story was going to be about a love story between the Mystery Twins, but that would just be too plain, I guess. So I'm changing the plot.

This is just chapter one, and there's still yet to come.
