Mabel's P.O.V

- - -

I drop myself on my bed. I have been in my parents' car for more than three hours, and my bum hurts a lot now, and so does my back. Thank God, the beds are still in good condition.

Dipper bursts through the door with a bunch of my bags in his arms. "I swear, I would need a forklift the next time I help carry your stuff. Tell me, what do you have in these things?"

I sneer. "None of your concern. But come on, your bags are heavier than mine. Tell me dear brother of mine, what do you have in yours?" I put my hand over my mouth and gasp sarcastically. "Books? Hah. And they consider you a cool guy."

"Hey!" He snaps. "Just because I read a lot doesn't mean I'm not cool. It means I'm more to—"

I wave him off. "Yeah, okay, Sherlock." My eyes dart around the things he just brought in, and I ask him, "Have you seen my bathroom pail?"

He sighs. "Downstairs, but I won't help you this time."

"Fine by me," I say as I make my way out of the door. "The bathroom is mine when I get the pail!"

Each step I make down the stairs make a loud creaking noise. As I fetch my pail (glamorously decorated with unicorn stickers by a fourteen year old me) on a wooden table, I notice that something is missing. I just can't put my finger on it.

I shrug the thought away and return upstairs. As I push the door open, I see a shirtless Dipper. Not rare. "Are you trying to build a six-pack? Because that isn't how it works."

"Don't be so salty. It's just simply hot in here. You would do the same if you were a guy, wouldn't you?" He says, scratching his shaggy hair.

Before I have time to answer, he says, "Make a run for it."

"What?"

He zooms past me, straight into the bathroom. My senses started to kick in and I chased after him. "Hey, I called dibs!"

As expected, my loving brother decided to ignore my banging on the door. I stopped trying and decided to wait for him to finish, which usually takes forever (because he smells like a baboon).

After I was done with my shower, I put some clothes on myself.

That's when I hear that familiar oink. My face brightens up as I see my favorite pig in the world. "Waddles! You don't know how much I've missed you," I cuddle him as he licks my nose. I giggle. "Oh, boy. I'm so glad Stan didn't turn you into bacon."

Waddles just looks at me innocently. I rub the back of his ear, and I finally remember what was missing.

"Where is Soos? I haven't seen him all day long," I say to him, stroking the top of his head.

All Waddles does is look.

I take a walk out of town. In the woods.

I was a really loud, outgoing, random kind of girl when I was younger, but as I grew up I just changed. Society made me change. Nobody liked me as that type of girl, and back then I wouldn't mind, but insecurity took over me, I couldn't fight it.

I guess sometimes it's for the better.

The woods are quiet, peaceful. A good place to think and reflect on life. I don't do this often back when I lived with my parents, mainly because there was no place to go hide away. Every corner I went to was full of noise. That wasn't so nice when all you wanted to do was be alone.

On the way here, I asked someone walking down the street the same question I asked Waddles. "Where is Soos?"

The lady shook her head. "Don't you know? He's gone missing. Nobody knows where he went. His grandmother is worried sick."

How many days have gone by since he went missing? I didn't get the chance to ask her that, she was in a hurry. How could he have gone missing in the first place?

What would lead him to go when everything and everyone he loves are in this town?

Author's Note:

For the first time in forever; two years to be exact, I have updated!

I'm kind of disappointed this was something really short. I'm sure you all are, too, but you were asking for updates, and this was all I could manage.

Also, I thought about changing the plot. I'm doing it.

I don't ship Dipper and Mabel at all anymore, I don't know why. And when I lost the spark for them, I lost the spark to write a fan fiction about their love story. Although I will write some scenes of them having their moments *wink wink*
