I awake in a daze only to have the previous events flood back into my memory like a tsunami of sadness. I try to move only to remember that I have Kang Dae's lifeless body on top of mine. I struggle to escape from his protection, not before checking to see if the people who killed my friends were still their. Once I confirmed they weren't, I ran over to Seo Yeon, Hyun Ki, and Jae Hwa's bodies. The moment my eyes see their corpses, they pool with tears and the salty drops role down my face and slowly drip off my chin. I begin to sob and hug their bodies close.
After a couple of moments of grieving, I convince my lifeless body to move. I decided I was going to bury my friends. I take one last glance at their bodies and begin to get to work.
Since I didn't have a shovel, it took me a while to dig four holes deep enough, but I did. One by one, I placed my friends, no, my families bodies into the pits I had dug. I then cover them and make little bouquets of the flowers around the area.
I stare at the graves for a moment before deciding that I needed to head back. To be totally honest, I was afraid. I was terrified at the fact that I would have to tell the families of my friends that their children had died. The thought made me want to never return. But, I knew I had to. I also had to go home so I could feed mother, my brothers and Dooman.
I began the walk back, the stream being my guide. I tried to mentally prepare myself for what I was about to do. I know it's selfish, but I couldn't wait to get home and see my family. I almost smiled at the thought, but then I realized that my family will never be complete again for four of its members just died. As Cheonin, we are not rich. Therefore, at least in our Cheonin village, we help each other. Our town is somewhat like one, huge family.
I soon arrive at our town. I let a smile of releaf grace my face only a second before my heart and soul shatter. Before me was something that I would never be able to erase from my mind. The blood. All the blood. It was on my banji and on the bodies of the villagers who now all lay dead on the floor.
I held back the vomit that was trying to escape through my throat as I dashed home. I ignored the blood on the walls of the houses, I ignored the blood on the people, and I ignored the blood all over me. I had to get home. I had to see mom and Cho and Gi and Dooman! I had to get to them! I had to save them.
I began to slip on the blood that had latched itself onto my shoes. My knees were now scraped and my banji ripped to reveal the raw cuts. I ignored the burning tiredness in my legs and the sting in my knees. All I thought about was my family.
I ran up the hill that our house was perched on top of and slid open the door with such force it came of its track and clambered to the floor.
"No no no no no no no no no no no.....no.......n-no" I began to gasp for air as my quiet sobs choked my lungs and throat.
In front of my mothers room lay my two brothers, Cho and Gi, dead along with Dooman. I lifted a shaky hand to my mothers door as I tried to will myself to open it. My tears continued to fall from my now red (e/c) eyes. I slowly slid the door open. And then I broke. I screamed and sobbed and fell to my knees. My body shook as my cries rattled through my entire being and the sadness draped over me like a blanket.
I cried for as long as I could until my eyes dried. I had no more tears left to cry. Just an emptiness in my heart. I slowly brought myself to my feet and began to slowly tread out of my house, down the hill, out of the village, and down the road to the other Cheonin village.
By now my shoes had fallen off my feet, my banji had been ripped to shreds, and my hair was matted with blood.
My face was probably puffy from the tears. I didn't bring anything then what was on me, which wasn't anything but the bracelet Seo Yeon had given me for my birthday. She had made it herself saying she wanted to became a world renowned jewelry maker and that she needed to see if she was any good.
I sniffled at the memory and continued the journey until I arrived at the town, or as we used to call it, the golden Cheonin village. The moment I stepped one foot into the town, I passed out on the side.
'He-'
'Hey (y/-'
'(Y/n)!'And then I woke up.
A/N sorry if this is confusing. Here's a small summary. Basically, you just had a dream and we're woken up by someone calling your name. The dream was about your past. Sorry if this book sucks. I'm not very good at writing, but I have ideas that I need to right down just don't have the talent to do.
