cindy

"good morning west morris highschool! i'm so glad to see all of your faces on this fine monday morning-"

i rolled my eyes at the school announcements, how can someone be so bubbly on monday at 9:00am?

maybe they're faking it? everyone fakes everything now-a-days.

speaking of fake, that's what every one in this school is. i swear, it's like the school sucked everyones brains out and replaced them with a bitchy, secret telling robot. there are only a few people i can tolerate in this hell hole, and they all happen to be my best friends.

there's alexis ren, captain of the cheer team. she's super preppy and hyper, like all the time. we've been best friends since freshman year, ever since i accidentally spilled coffee all over her cheer uniform. just saying, i had to pay to replace that shit.

there's grayson, starting varsity quarterback on the football team. he committed to play at alabama in college, so i know after high school i'll barely ever see him. we've been best friends since forever, our parents are really good friends. since i was like 4 years old, i've been hanging out with him.

last but certainly not least, there's ethan. ethan is something special, he's my life long best friend, who i also happen to have a massive crush on. i wouldn't call it a crush at this point, id call it a desperate and hopeless love for him. just like grayson, he's on the football team, except he's the starter wide receiver. he's also committed to alabamba, which i have most definitely cried over a couple times. i started to like him when i was 12 years old, and my liking for him has never gone away.

i might as well introduce myself while i'm here. my name's cindy, cindy kimberly if we want to be professional. unlike alexis, i'm on my schools varsity volleyball team. i'm a setter, but definitely not a starter. you best believe if my coach wants to run a 5-1 during a game, i'm not gonna be the setter that runs it. i have a few colleges that have emailed my mom about me playing for them, but i'm not committed anywhere. i'm really trying to get an email from alabamba, but i know that's not going to happen. anyways-

"cindy." i heard my name being called.

never mind, i'll finish introducing myself later.

"yeah?" i looked up at my teacher, ms. pierce.

"can you answer #3 for the class?" she smiled at me.

fuck you, you damn well know i wasn't paying attention.

i quickly looked down at my stupid worksheet at #3. oh hell no, i can not answer this.

"sorry, i don't know the answer." i said, automatically embarrassed.

"maybe that's because you were dazing off. next time, i would pay attention if i were you."

damn bitch you really just exposed me like that?

"yes ma'am, sorry."

i hate this stupid class, why would my school make me have ap business law 1st period? why would i even put this class on my schedule?

oh yeah, my dad made me sign up for this class. my dad is the biggest lawyer in new jersey, his name is brandon. you can probably guess that he's all about me following his career path, so he made me take all honors and ap classes.
