"Thank you for your help ASR" Khushi said and began to walk away leaving a shocked Arnav
"Khushi!! Khushi wait!! Where are you going?" Arnav called
Khushi stopped and turned
"Wherever life leads me!" She replied.
"You are coming with me Khushi. Sit in the car. We are going home!" Arnav declared
"There's no home for girls like me Arnavji" Khushi said
"Khushi.. Don't say that" Arnav whispered moving closer to her
"Don't come near me" Khushi stepped back.
In two long strides, Arnav reached her and cupped her face
"Look at me" He instructed
"You shouldn't be associated with the likes of us Arnavji." Khushi whispered tiredly
"Come on. We need to go home" Arnav said ignoring her last words.
"Arnavji.." Khushi swayed slightly
"Khushi.." Arnav held her waist at once to steady her as she collapsed right into his arms losing her consciousness.
Arnav scooped her up and walked towards the car.
“Jeevika?” Arnav was growing impatient with the silence of Jeevika, She and her husband were good friends with Arnav, Jeevika was a doctor and thus Arnav had called her up to come and check Khushi
“She has been molested. She is badly hurt and abused” Jeevika stated
Arnav nodded
“Who is she?” Jeevika asked
“Family” Arnav answered
“Do you have any idea of what actually happened?” She asked
“She was.. forcefully trafficked. She was.. living with Yash Singhania as his..” He couldn't complete. That word and her cannot be mentioned in the same sentence. She is too pure to be called as such
“How long do you think has it been going on Arnav?” She asked
“Six months, At least. Because that's when Yash Singhania came to Delhi. I met her four months ago. She used to come to my farmhouse” Arnav informed
“But.. Then she stopped suddenly. A week back” He added.
Jeevika sighed.
“She is in trauma. She is not normal. Was it that way a week back too?” She asked
“She was.. sad and scared and all that but, Today she is.. beyond that! Beyond everything” Arnav said and recollected their story to her.
“Then I must conclude that the past week's events coupled with the events of all these months have led to this trauma. I believe the last week has a greater role to play than.. The months. Because as you said she wasn’t that.. Lost and traumatized earlier..” Jeevika said
“You think I should talk to her?” Arnav asked
“Honestly Arnav, I don’t think I have an answer to that. For now I know that she’s a girl who has been molested and abused for months. Whether you have to talk about it with her or not is only your call. I would suggest that you judge her state of mind first. If you think she’s in the condition to talk.. Go ahead. But if not, Then don’t force her into opening up to you” Jeevika suggested
