When Arnav reached the farmhouse, Khushi wasn't around. Was she late today? Or did she leave already? He hurriedly scanned the whole farmhouse before dismissing the earlier thought. "She's just late" He told himself

He decided to stroll the garden for a while as he waited for her. Suddenly, It started to drizzle. Oh, Now she wasn't going to come.

He smiled remembering the first rain they'd spent together. It was just a yesterday. She was looking angelic in her attire, Her hair left open were gently swaying in the air.

They had been sitting and talking about stuff when suddenly, It had started to drizzle Just like today.

He chuckled remembering the way her eyes had twinkled,

Flashback

"Ohh... It's raining" She had exclaimed excitedly

"Khushi, I think we should go inside." Arnav said instinctively holding her hand and pulled her with him. He could swear he'd seen a tinge of red coloring her cheeks

"Arnav..ji, Please let's stay." She pleaded

"But.. Khushi, Tum beemar pad jaaogi!(You'll fall ill)" Arnav explained.

"Kuch nahi hoga Arnavji (Nothing will happen)" Khushi said

"Bachpanaa mat karo Khushi.. (Don't behave childish Khushi)" Arnav said with a soft smile

"Kabhi-Kabhi toh mauka milta hai Baccha ban'ne ka.. (It's only sometimes that we get to behave childish)" Khushi whispered

"Fine.. Okay then, Go enjoy yourself" Arnav gave her a slight push. She smiled at him and ran to the open. "But be careful" He called. She nodded like an adorable innocent child.

The drizzle had by then increased into heavy shower. Arnav looked at Khushi without blinking as she twirled happily getting soaked in rain. Her giggles resonated in the air as she played in the rain like a kid. Her dress clung to her like a second skin.. Making him gulp in nervousness, Arnav reached for her in a few long strides

"Khushi" His voice sounded huskier than usual, Making her shiver

"A.. Arnav.. Ji" She stuttered composing herself

"Ab sach mein tabiyat Kharaab ho jayegi Khushi... Ander chalo (Now you'll really fall ill.. Come in)" Arnav said gently holding her hand and escorting her inside the farmhouse

"Go and change... In the second room from the right, There are a few of my sister's clothes. Wear whatever you like" Arnav instructed

"Uhhh... Arnavji, That's not needed. I can.. Manage" Khushi hesitated

"The whole of your dress is drenched Khushi.. You need to change before you catch cold" Arnav explained patiently.

Khushi nodded reluctantly

"In there.. Second from the right" Arnav repeated his earlier instructions. Khushi made her way to the room as Arnav went into the kitchen, To fix himself and her a steaming hot mug of coffee

"Here's your coffee.." Arnav handed her a steaming coffee mug and Khushi sat on one of the couches.

"Thank you Arnavji.. I have been troubling you way too much now-a-days.. Ain't I?" Khushi asked with a slight touch of embarrassment

"You're my friend. Khushi" Arnav smiled warmly at her.

"A friend.. Who knows everything about you and you know absolutely nothing about" Khushi whispered

"You don't have to be open with me.. Until and unless you want to. It's my choice that I tell you about myself, That's because I feel comfortable around you. I can talk to you without being judged and I know it. You can tell me about yourself when you'll feel comfortable around me.. Till then, I'm content with having you as a listener." Arnav said

Khushi smiled gratefully.

"Your coffee" Arnav reminded gesturing to the almost abandoned coffee mug.

"Thank you for bearing with me.. All this while" Khushi said after a while, Her coffee mug was now empty and was in the dishwasher with Arnav's. This had become their version of goodbye for her for the last few days.

"It's late.. You're not going home today. Stay in here for a night. There are plenty of rooms" Arnav said

"No.. Arnavji, It's okay I'll manage."

"I know you're a strong woman Khushi.. But I can't let you leave this late. The roads are all too empty and its creepy to be there." Arnav tried to explain.

"But.."

"Please Khushi, Just One Night, I promise you won't be uncomfortable at all" Arnav said

"I need to be.. Home. I.. I can't stay" Khushi said with a sad smile.

"Alright.. You insist. I'll drop you till your apartment. And no more arguments on that." Arnav said with finality.

Khushi didn't protest.

"I'll be back in a minute, Gotta check the whether is fine or not." Arnav said making her nod.

Arnav returned in another five minutes and was about to say something, When he noticed Khushi sleeping curled up on the couch. He knelt in front of her and caressed her hair making her sigh drowsily.

Of course he didn't have the heart to wake that angel of his from her beauty sleep, so he silently picked her up and made her lie in one of the guest rooms.

"Goodnight Angel" He whispered in her ear after covering her with a duvet

The next morning however.. Arnav didn't have the chance to see her, She had left before he could wake up and he was greeted with just her note in which she had told him not to worry about her and take care of himself.

Arnav came back to the present at the sound of his mobile ringing

"Yeah Di"

"..."

"I'll be home in a while. We can skype then."

"..."

"Where else?"

"..."

"Oh.. No"

"..."

"Okay then.. I'll talk to you once I'm home"

"..."
