"Ugh, my head, Y/N are you awake?" Frisk murmured, pushing herself up in the flowerbed, as some stray petals fell off of her,

"Yeah, wait, we made it," You looked around at the cavern, "I can't believe that we made it!" You added in disbelief,

"Of course! How could I have forgotten where we were!" Frisk jumped up, looking around, "By the way, how long have we been out?" She turned back to you,

"About 1/2 an hour," you answered, checking your phone, as you also got up, dusting down your clothes,

"At least it's only half an hour, wait, I have an idea!" Frisk exclaimed,

"What is it?" You cocked your head,

"We shouldn't just do a true pacifist, we should do a real pacifist!" Frisk began, grabbing your shoulders,

"What do you mean by that?" You asked,

"We should save Asriel completely, bring him to the surface, and we should start right away and help him feel love not LOVE!" Frisk let go of you,

"And, how are we supposed to do that?" You deadpanned, arms on hips,

"Remind him of his past life, remind him of Chara, remind him how he used to feel!" she explained,

"Are you sure it will work?" You brought a finger to your chin in thought,

"All we can do is try!" Frisk dragged you into the next room where you saw exactly what you were expecting; a flower with yellow petals, a green stalk and a, somehow, almost cute face.

"Howdy, I'm-" The flower began, acting in a friendly matter that didn't fool either you or Frisk,

"Flowey? We know," You shut him down immediately, as he visibly tensed up,

"How did you-" He began, his face morphing slightly, but he appeared to be trying to stay amicable,

"But that's not your real name, right Asriel?" Frisk smiled kindly, as the flowers facade slipped more,

"Where did you get this inf-" He began, anger evident in his voice despite his attempts to hide it,

"Well we know a lot about the underground, we know about Toriel, Asgore, Sans," You listed off on your fingers, ignoring the threatening aura Flowey was giving off,

"That smiley trashbag," Flowey mumbled, his facade failing momentarily,

"First, rude, second, please let us continue." Frisk sighed,

"Fi-ne" Flowey rolled his eyes, going for an irritated approach since the kind one wasn't working for him,

"As we were saying, we know quite a lot about the underground and some of its inhabitants." you continued,

"Explain" Flowey deadpanned,

"It's a long story, with lots of weird sections, that we don't have the time to get into right now" Frisk mentioned, and the flowers face distorted into a more frightening one,

"You think I don't know when I'm being toyed with you idiots! DIE!" Flowey yelled in rage as a circle of bullets surrounded you and Frisk, and you both got your first looks at your soul's, Frisks was red and yours was a strange aqua colour, you were curious to what it meant, as you hadn't seen that colour on a soul in-game, you assumed it to be a mix of kindness and patience or integrity. You also noticed you had an HP of 30, which you deduced was due to your soul colour, as your EXP was still 0 and your LV 1, you saw the 'friendliness pellets' out of the corner of your eye and pulled yourself out of your thoughts.

"WAIT!!" You yelled,

"What! You dare challenge me, you idiot!" Flowey snarled,

"We didn't come here to cause harm or humiliation to you or any other monsters here" You began, "And don't give us that 'kill or be killed' bull, because we're not gonna fall for it" You remarked flatly, "We want to help you, and the other monsters trapped down here" You finished,

"And that starts by reminding you of someone you used to hold close to your heart" Frisk added,

"Who could you poss-" Flowey started, cruel laughter in his voice,

"Chara" Frisk uttered,

"C-Chara?" The bullets disappeared. "How do you know about Chara! She died, years ago! W-why did you dare to remind me of her, she was my best friend, my o-only friend! She was like a sister to m-me!" Flowey had begun crying, his anger transformed into grief,

"Oh, we didn't mean to upset you Asriel!" You knelt down and stroked Floweys' petals "It's ok, we just wanted to remind you of love you once felt, love you clearly still feel and therefore are capable of feeling." you reasoned to the distraught flower,

"H-how can I still feel love? I h-have no soul, you can't feel love without a soul!" Flowey yelled bitterly,

"Perhaps you just entwined yourself in the lie that since you have no soul therefore you had no love, only LOVE, and forced yourself to believe it so that you didn't feel sorry about hurting anyone?" Frisk reasoned, also trying to calm the flower,

"That is not how souls work" Flowey exclaimed angrily, his tears like a waterfall, "I have tried so hard to feel love but I can't, I don't understand why I feel something now!" he added, looking at the ground.

"I'm not sure what's going on but maybe something changed in you," You thought aloud,

"Asriel, I'm sure we'll figure it out eventually, after all, good things take time," Frisk added, smiling kindly,

"I'm sorry, about everything!" A fresh rush of tears fell down his face as the guilt of his previous actions came back to bite him.

"It's ok, Y/N and I came down here for a reason, we had a goal." Frisk continued,

"Why would anyone willingly come down here? The surface must be so much better!" Flowey wiped his tears,

"It is, so, we believe that monsterkind should be able to experience it too," You added,

"Are you saying-"Floweys stream of tears had slowed to a trickle,

"We are going to break the barrier"

"Break the barrier?" A female voice that Frisk and you didn't recognise, but at the same time did chimed in.
