Tsurugi walked into the store hoping to find some good music that would help him relax. He didn't want to go for some really strong ones. He wanted something soft, preferably something like that English song he'd on the radio this morning.
He went to the English songs' section and started looking for a familiar name. What was it? Painter, Passionate, Passer? Passenger? Yeah! That was it! It was Passenger. He went through the album, picking "Let Her Go" and putting it in the CD player. He put the headphones on and listened closely.
The man was singing slowly enough for him to have time to translate the lyrics in his mind. He was good at English too but that didn't matter. What mattered was how beautiful this song was.
You only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss the sun when it starts to snow. Only know you love her when you let her go.
They spoke volumes to him, reflecting on his actions. He only realized that he loved Tenma when he was gone. He now realized how much hurt Tenma probably got when he saw Aoi and him together, his two best friends. Wow, he really messed that up, didn't he?
He took off the headphones. The song reminded him too much of himself, he was definitely going to buy this. He flipped the cover, looking at what other song were there when he felt a presence behind him. He didn't look, mostly because he didn't care. The presence spoke. "The singer really knows the depths of love, doesn't he?" Tsurugi nodded, still not turning. The voice seemed.... Well, it felt like he had heard it before. It felt... the voice felt warm.
"James Arthur is another singer that I really like. You should listen to his songs, too." The presence mused.
Tsurugi nodded again. "Thanks, I'll keep him in mind."
"I'm Tenma, by the way." At the sound of the name, Tsurugi's neck turned back so fast that an audible crack could be heard.
Golden orbs met beautiful metallic blue ones. His eyes roamed the face; tanned skin, unruly brown hair, and that smile. His breath hitched. "T-Tenma?" The boy nodded, looking at him funnily.
The ace-striker reached out and touched the boy's face. The boy held in the urge to shudder. "Um, I think touching people's face unannounced isn't a good way to say hi,..." Tenma trailed off, hoping for the other to tell him his name.
Tsurugi retreated his hand hurriedly. "Uh, Kyousuke. Tsurugi Kyousuke. I... I know you." At that, the brunet's face lit up with a warm smile.
"I know you too, Kyousuke. I was lost, that's all. But I'm back now. I really, really, really missed you. I'm sorry that I left. I love you, Kyousuke. Yes, Kyousuke, I finally found you and now we can be together," Tsurugi remained quiet but his smile told Tenma everything he wanted to know. The brunet leaned on his toes and connect his lips to Tsurugi's—
.
Tsurugi shot his eyes open, his breaths came out laboured. He ran a hand through his wet hair, trying to remove them from his sweaty forehead. He sighed.
If there was one thing Tsurugi Kyousuke disliked more than anything, it was not doing anything. And that was exactly what he was doing; nothing. He had woken up several times, hours before. He was ready to train again but the team did not let him do it. He had insisted that he was okay but the team would not budge.
He only gave in when Tenma's name was brought up by Aoi. That he would not want to see him like this. She also joked about how he was going to kill her, if she let Tsurugi train in this condition. That earned a laugh because everyone knew that Tenma wouldn't hurt a fly. Or he couldn't before....
