In a case of Shuichi being straight, even though he clearly loves Kaede, I'd ship Kyoko x Saihara instead of Saimatsu. Idk why. But in a normal scenario where Ouma exists, I see them as simple accomplices in detective cases. And with Kyoko acting all sensei to Saihara. Deputy Saihara and Detective Kyoko.
So yeah.
