P.S. Don't hate me at the end XD
Chapter 1- He's cute, maybe hot...Possibly... MY SOULMATE?!?
Sam's POV
I slowly opened my eyes to the sound of voices, voices that I had heard in my past, my life, and my dreams. I jerked myself upright, screaming hysterically, and felt someone scoop me up and press my trembling frame to their rather large one. I inhaled deeply, shudders running though my very soul. I froze, inhaled again.
The sweet scent of honey, and bitter scent of chocolate curled around me, a scent I knew, recognised. I blinked slightly against the bright light, 'Clay?' I whispered and the arms around me tightened.
'Oh Sammy, thank god,' a deep gravely voice rumbled in my ear, and I turned my head slightly so I could see his face. His eyes were still the deepest honey colour I had ever seen, his stance still comforting and protective, but there was something different. Something that I'd never seen in his chiselled features, the features that made him look so much like mum.
He looked desperate, tiered, as if all the fight had gone out of him. 'Clay?' my voice broke, as I reached out a trembling hand to him, and stroked his cheek gently. 'Clay, where... I mean what... How...?'
He grinned rubbing his nose like he always did when he was nervous or exited. His light fawn hair dropped over his eyes, and I hastily pushed it back, not wanting to lose sight of his eyes again. 'Hey, have you forgotten us to?' Jake's soft voice broke me out of my shock, and I snapped my head to the side, catching sight of my two other older brothers, both had worry etched across their faces.
Jake's bright blue eyes had lost their sparkle, and his dark blonde hair was as messy as always. Tristan's light brown eyes were shaded with worry; his very-blonde-almost-white hair was matted on his head. Both of them had dad's defined features, tall and muscular, like Clay.
They were both nervous; I could feel it, just like Jace... Park...taught me to. I muffled a sob, and launched myself at Jake, grabbing
Tristan's collar so we all crashed together in a circle, hugging and crying. We stayed there for a minute, crying before we realised we couldn't get back up without me falling. It was Clay who separated us in the end. He looped an arm though my waist and pulled my down on to his lap, as I felt the tears starting to dry.
'So,' I croaked, 'where's mum and Dad? Why did Park kill Jer and Alexia? What's being happening since I got...?' I broke off, unable to say it.
Clay rubbed my back soothingly, and Jake and Tristan both dived for my right hand, crashing into one another and falling off the sofa. I giggled, unable to help it. The sound felt weird... I hadn't done it in a while.
'Mum and Dad are looking for you, kid,' Jake said, rubbing his head, 'they're meeting the vampire prince to see if he'll give them any information. You can talk to them now, if you want. Tristan finally completed his portal thingy.'
'Portella Saliconda,' Tristan drawled, making me snicker.
Jake had never been able to remember Tristan's inventions- as he said- he was more of a fighter than an inventor, or, in Clay's case, a mage.
He tossed me a small black disc that kinda looked like a rounded piece of slate. 'Mitchell and Eva,' Tristan barked and the black disc seemed to grow, and shapes itself until it was human shaped and almost see though. The figures of the shape were easy enough to guess anyway.
