(God I'm so fuckin sick right now)

On days like these, when there are no customers, and your boss is riding your ass about it as if it's your fault, and then a very neat stack of books that you had just finished falls down, one always needs a reminder as to why they must keep living

So, tired and a little bit hungry, you skip the visit to your rather shitty apartment and went straight for your uncles house. It wasn't really your uncle whom you were still living for, rather it was his dog, Sumo. A large Saint Bernard of which reminded you of the few years you spent studying abroad in Germany and areas around it.

Unlocking the door to an empty house, you did a quick scan for the dog, finding him on the floor, and rested your head on his stomach. Petting his head, you concentrated on his breathing, lulling yourself into a mildly uncomfortable sleep.

You dreamt for a while.

Then there were voices.

"Hey, kid, wake up," the gruff voice, of which you could pinpoint to be your uncle, said. He shook you a little. You lifted your head slightly, breathing harshly. "You okay?" He asked, his hand still on your shoulder. You nodded curtly, looking around with squinted eyes. You saw a pair of feet standing next to a crouched Hank. Hank nodded back, standing up again.

"Who are they?" A soft voice asked. "That's my brothers kid," Hank replied in short. You looked up to see the second man nodding, a bright, blue LED on his temple. You blinked once, before standing up slowly. "Y/N," you said, introducing yourself. He smiled at you, a sweet, if not a little confused smile. Overall, it was a nice smile that you would like to see again.

"I'm Connor, the android sent by CyberLife. I'm here to assist Lieutenant Anderson in deviant cases," he explained. You nodded, your heart beating a little fast for your liking. "Are you alright? Sleeping on a dog is not the most sanitary thing," he commented, staring intently at your face. You merely nodded.

Connor looked at you for a moment more before turning to Hank. "Will you be needing me for anything else, Lieutenant?" His hands were folded behind his back in an obedient manner. You stared at him, wondering how he went from looking so Human and warm, to looking calculated and on a mission.

"I'm going to bed. Don't wake me up under any circumstance," Hank muttered, scratching his back. He left, heading towards his room. "Will do, Lieutenant," Connor replied, his head held high. You watched your uncle leave silently.

"Would you like to do anything, Y/N?" Connor asked, breaking you out of your thoughts.

"Nothing that's really possible right now," you said quietly. His brow furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing. I don't mean a thing," you dismissed yourself with a hand, sitting on the couch and resting your head in your hands. Connor seemed pretty insistent, however, and sat next to you. "Are you alright?" was all he said.

You took your head out of your hands to look at him. Nice hair, nice eyes. You weren't very good at descriptions, but... he was very nice to look at. You remembered that he asked you a question, so you quickly answered.

"I am... alright."

His LED turned yellow, back to blue, and then he laughed a little bit.

You stared at him. Why the hell did CyberLife create such nice looking androids? "What?" You asked him, chuckling a little bit as well.

"You are very.. machine like, I suppose. You act emotionless." This made you stop. To be honest, you felt as far from emotionless as you possibly could right now. With a shitty day behind you and the most gorgeous man you've ever seen in front of you, it was a little hard to keep track of your emotions right now.
