Chapter 3

I left the booth after freshening up again and headed to the bar again.

"Had fun?" the bartender asked.

"Yeah," I replied. She passed me another vodka. "This is gonna be my last vodka" I laughed.

"Fair enough. So how was Danielle?"

"She was good"

"I should hope so, she's my girlfriend"

I spat out my drink.

"WHAT?"

The bartender laughed.

"I'm joking, I'm joking! She's my ex though yup" she said looking over at Danielle.

"Why'd you split up? If you don't mind me asking" I questioned.

"She got a job here as a stripper and for obvious reasons I really hated that you know what I mean? That body should be for my eyes only. Anyway, I got a job here too, as a bartender and she wasn't very impressed by it she called it 'stalking'. So it ended up in a fight and we broke up" she explained,

"Wow," I said. "I do see where you're coming from, nowadays it's harder to trust people, I wouldn't like my girl to get a stripper job while she is with me especially when what me and Danielle just did is going on. I feel bad I'm sorry"

"Don't be sorry," she put a hand on my shoulder. "Everyone gets what'a coming for them, what goes around comes around Scarlett. Your ex and my ex will both experience karma just you wait"

"That's true," I smiled. "But then what if it was us who were the bad ones?"

"Then you have already experienced your karma, walking into your girlfriend sleeping with someone else. I suppose I'm still waiting"

I looked down. Maybe she's right, I'm the one being punished. I always thought my girl loved me but maybe she didn't, with me I only see the good side of people cos I just want to be happy. I should probably look deeper.

"Do you have any advice for me getting a decent girl?" I questioned.

"A lot of decent girls come into this bar and I'm also known as the match maker haha," She chuckled. "I stand here a find out a girls personality and match them up and so far it's ended in happily ever after"

"So could you do that for me?" I asked.

"Yeah sure if the right girl comes along, I'll point her in your direction"

I smiled.

"Thanks a lot"

"No problem, so tell me about yourself"

"Well my name is Scarlett Black, I'm 24 and I play in a band called Lucifers Heaven, I have 2 brothers and I'm really more of a family type person, I really like kids and I really want a happy family of my own. I don't smoke and I don't usually drink but hey this is a one off I suppose, I've worked very hard for a drink." I went on.

"Here here!" She shouted. "Don't worry Scarlett I'll find you a girl, shouldn't be hard for a good looking lass like you to find one"

"Thanks" I said blushing.
