I'm writing this for the second time because before this, it got deleted. UGH

9th September 2018

It was Sunday. Sundays aren't that awesome to be honest. They're boring as hell. Well, for those who work six days a week, of course it's their day. Maybe they could go for brunch with their spouse, or maybe a family trip. I just sit down and do nothing. Watch my phone the entire day and then cry in the end because I wasted another day. Well, for some weeks me and my friends go for Futsal. From seven to eight in the morning. Every Sunday. This week I decided not to go because I wasn't in the mood to play after such a tiring day. So at six one of our friends calls everyone to wake them up and make sure if they are coming. Now I wasn't going to go this week, but at sharp six I got a call from my friend, Sulaiman. I was here laying, catching some Z's when I heard my phone ringing. Everything at six in the morning sounds annoying. I woke up, cut the call and switched my phone off. I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE WAKING ME UP FROM SLEEP. My sleepy head went back to sleep.

Then my eyes opened at twelve. I had to use the bathroom. I came back and lay down. Now this weird thing happens to me. Whenever I try to sleep, my eyes are shut but there is movement around. It's like I'm dead, but I can feel and hear every single thing around me. So I woke up and decided not to sleep again. Normally on Sundays I go to pray Zuhr with my grandpa, but I was here, doing nothing.

"Come have food, Farooq.", yelled my mom from one storey below.

Without answering anything I bolted towards her and as my foot touched the last stair, I looked at the dining table and there was nothing. Not even a plate.

"AMIIIIIIIIII WHERE THE FOOT AT.", I replied.

"Have patience you food monster. Let Baba come."

I was so pissed, but yeah, I couldn't have food unless Baba was here with us. As soon as Baba arrived, we sat on the table. Now thousands of thoughts were going on my mind at the time like "WHAT FOOD WILL IT BE" or "WILL IT BE THE SAME PAKISTANI FOOD THAT I EAT EVERYDAY" and the food arrived. IT WAS JAPANESE FOOD. You might not know this, but I love Japanese food, after burgers. Burgers are the most delicious food. I love them. Mama had made Beef teriyaki and fried fish with mango salad. Sounds good right? Tasted even better. The juicy beef in that sweet teriyaki sauce served on rice. Ah, it was so damn good. I took a plate, finished it, took another plate of rice, but this time I felt full. Just because I chugged a glass of water before that. My Baba says. "If you're full but you still want to eat the food. The food is made right"

I was so full but I wanted to eat more. Everything was scrumptious.

I recently joined this college so I had a welcome party today, but I wasn't feeling like going since I had no friends. What would I do sipping on those soft drinks standing near strangers who don't even know my name. So to pass time I watched this movie of my favorite actor, Irrfan Khan. WHAT A MOVIE! I loved the plot so it was worth the time. It was six and the party started in thirty. I decided to give it a second thought. I stood in front of my closet choosing what to wear. I had my pyjamas in my left hand and this cool hoodie in my right hand. I thought and thought and I finally picked my left hand. Pyjamas for the win! I decided not to go to the party. No wonder If I would have regretted it later. I had noticed my dad was in a good mood, so I knew he'd come to me telling me to get ready because we were having dinner outside. In exactly three hours, at nine

"Get ready Son. We're going outside to have dinner", said dad.

"Can we PLEASEEEEE go to TGIs??", I replied.

"No. We're going to Nandos", pronounced Dad. I knew we wouldn't get a table since it's the weekend. We needed reservations.

Lowkey was not in a mood to go to Nandos because I was craving for TGIs but ok atleast we're having dinner outside. Something is better than nothing. I went down took my black Shalwar Kameez and changed. Hair combed perfectly, sleeves folded up and a huge broad smile on my face as I watched myself in the Mirror. I was looking good, but I hate to accept the fact I ACTUALLY AM KIND OF CUTE. Now we were waiting for my brother to come from his football class. He changed as soon as he came and we left.

My dad drove us to Nandos and as I predicted, it was full. We needed reservations. Now from inside of course I was happy because there was a tiny chance of dad bringing me to TGIs. Without saying a word dad drove. I had no clue where we were going. Hoping for TGI I sat happily. We were there. And the place was NOT TGI. We were at Arizona Grill. It's a nice steakhouse. We had to wait for five minutes till our table got ready. It was finally ready! We sat and ordered food as soon as we got the menu. I have a rule for steakhouses. I always order Beef steaks because beef the real MVP. I ordered an Italian Steak. The delicious steak was fried in crispy breadcrumb that was topped with thick, tangy sauce with a pinch of salt that made it even better. It was a luscious dinner.

We returned to home after this great dinner. I changed into my night suit and went to bed. What was going on my mind was that If I should have gone to that party. But then I realized sometimes some quality time with your family is all that you need than dancing with random people your age you had never seen before. It was the right decision. Not the worst Sunday. Sundays could be exciting. Oh wait, It is the family that makes you happy. Not the Sunday.
