Virginia darted up the steps and swung around the landing. She stalked down the hall and came to an abrupt stop in front of the door that had the little nametags reading Greyson and Quinn. Pounding on the door to 310, Virginia waited for just a moment before Quinn opened the door. Without greeting, Virginia shoved her way in as Quinn stepped back quickly and Greyson looked up from his perch on his bed.

"What the hell did you guys do with Col?" she demanded.

"Can we shut the door first, please?" asked Greyson, sliding off his bed.

Quinn did just that and walked back over to join Greyson.

"Now: what's wrong?" Greyson inclined his head toward Virginia.

She scoffed. "What's wrong is that in less than three hours, I'm talking to police about what happened that night, and I'm not even sure what to say because I don't know enough of the truth to lie right."

They exchanged glances.

"We expected this," said Quinn quietly. "We'll take care of it. The less you know, the better."

"No," snapped Virginia, which visibly took both boys aback. "No, not the less I know, the more I know. See, if I don't have all the facts, I can't lie correctly. I can't tell Catherine what she should say if I don't know everything."

"We took care of it, Virginia," Greyson put his hand on her shoulder. "We'll keep taking care of it, and of you, I promise. Of Catherine, too. We're not going to let either of you get hurt, okay?"

Shrugging off his hand, she snapped. "That's not good enough. I'm not okay with that answer."

"After I killed him," Quinn started, and she turned to him. "Greyson came from the party and when I took you back, he took care of the body. I made sure there was no physical evidence on any of us, and now, Col won't be found."

"How can you be sure?" Virginia demanded.

"Because I put him where no one would look," Greyson looked like he was fighting a smile. "Hidden in plain sight, you could say."

Virginia shook her head. "I don't understand."

"That's probably best," Greyson said. "There's some things that it would be dangerous for you to know. You just have to trust us."

"If you haven't noticed," Virginia said. "I have some trust issues."

"Sorry, Virginia," Greyson shrugged. "I think that's your problem."

From the sound of his voice, she knew that on this, he wouldn't budge. "Okay," nodded Virginia. "I'll try to make sure you guys are kept out of the investigation."

"Don't worry about it," Greyson replied. "We'll be paying a visit to the cops soon anyway, to take care of all this. Just don't confess on camera or anything stupid like that, and if you keep Catherine inside those same boundaries, it would be very helpful. But that's all we need."

"What are you talking about?" demanded Virginia. "Why are you going to the cops? They don't even have your names."

"We've done this before," Quinn said quietly. "Please, Virginia, just trust us."

She shook her head and sighed, her eyes meeting Quinn's. "Fine. I'll trust you. You saved my life so I think that means I owe you a little bit of trust, but at some point soon, the two of you owe me one hell of an explanation."
