Dean was frustrated to find Sam's room completely void of any clues as to where he had gone. The laptop, his notebook, everything was gone except his clothes."He wouldn't have checked into a motel if he hadn't found something worth staying for," Dean said as he dug around under the mattress. Cas went to the small kitchenette, focused on the words scribbled on the small whiteboard stuck to the fridge.

CALL DEAN
The last point was written in all caps and underlined a few times. He called Dean to look."He was gonna call," Cas pointed out. He watched the fear take over Dean's face. This was a true sign something was actually wrong.
------Sam------
Finally free of the room but still chained, Sam stood next to the king of Hell as he looked out among his minions bustling about the throne room. They all mulled over new contracts and spoke quietly to themselves, never making eye contact with Lucifer.
"Do you know why they don't look at me, Sam? Hm?" he asked, clapping a hand on Sam's shoulder. "Because they know I am someone to be feared," he continued without waiting for Sam to respond. "Not like old boy Crowley. He let my demons slack for far to long. He let them get comfortable with blatant insubordination. He really ran Hell into the ground. No pun intended of course." He laughed at his own joke. Sam, exhausted from the ever increasing doses of demon blood, didn't say anything. Lucifer finally quieted, turning back to face the throne, running the tips of his fingers across the arm as he walked around it.
"This chair....it used to mean something. It meant power and respect. Crowley diminished it to nothing more than a hunk of metal anyone can just plant their butt on and be King." Again, Sam stayed quiet. "Sit down, Sammy," he said, patting the seat of the chair. "C'mon you know you want to. You haven't sat in this chair since I was in the driver's seat." Sam didn't move; didn't turn to face Lucifer. Suddenly, a yank at the chain around his neck. Lucifer pulled him until the backs of his legs met the throne and he was forced to sit to avoid toppling it.
"There now," Lucifer said, leaning in close to his ear, "doesn't that just feel like home?" Home. The word sent a pang through his chest as he thought of Dean. He had to have realized he was missing by now. He had to be out there looking for him. As he shut his eyes against the thought, he felt the sting of another loaded syringe.
