Chapter 6

Sorry I know this is short, but I just wanted to start the story up again. Thanks for reading! It means a lot to me. <3

Vic’s POV:

“Kill me then.”

The words left her mouth and felt like a spear had been pierced through my heart. She did this to herself because she thought she deserved it. I felt my eyes start burning and tears running down my cheek. This beautiful girl is broken, and I’m not sure how to fix her, but I’m going to do anything and everything I can to make her feel better.

“Hazel.. You don’t deserve this! Do you hear me? You don’t. So many people love you Hazel, and I wish that I could give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, and then maybe you’d see how amazing and beautiful you really are. I love you Hazel, more than you could ever imagine. Please, let me in so I can help you..”

The words left my mouth as I tried to swallow my sob. This girl is an angel to me. She’s my life line, and to imagine a life without her is a pain I can’t even describe.

Hazel just looked at me with a blank expression, like she felt nothing. Tears were falling from her eyes, but her mind was in a completely different place. I picked out some clothes for her to wear, just some basketball shorts and a big tee shirt and left her in the bathroom to change. Whenever she was done, she opened the door and almost fell on the floor, luckily I caught her. She has lost so much blood, and I need to get her to the hospital.

I picked her up, bridal style, and carried her out to her car and sat her in the passenger seat.

“I’m going to take you to the hospital so they can clean these up, okay?”

She nodded her head. Her eyes were beginning to close, so I shook her slightly,

“Hazel, you can’t sleep, not yet. Keep your eyes open and once we get to the hospital, you can sleep.”

She nodded her head again, this time keeping her eyes wide open. I started the car and headed down the street to the hospital. I turned on the radio and plugged my phone in and handed it to Hazel,

“Play any song you want, it might take a minute for us to get there.” She grabbed my phone and started scrolling through my playlists. She looked through the phone for a while, until she started playing “You Found Me” by The Fray. It was one of her favorite songs, and she played it every time we were in the car together. I can hear her softly hum the words to the song, swaying from side to side, getting into the music. She was so beautiful and she wasn’t even trying.

Hazel’s POV:

Vic found me in the bathroom, blood dripping from my thighs, screaming for someone to save me. Once he saw me, he picked me up and sat me on the sink. He was crying, trying to tell me something, but I couldn’t hear him because my ears were ringing, which is usually a sign that I need to go to the hospital because I’m losing so much blood. Vic went to my bedroom and got some clothes for me to wear and left me in the bathroom to change. I’m positive he said something about taking me to the hospital. My thighs aren’t bleeding much, but I feel so weak, I can barely get my leg into my basketball shorts. Once I finally get dressed, I open up the door, ready to head to the hospital when suddenly both my legs give out, and my body is heading to the floor. I close my eyes expecting to hear a loud crash, but I don’t. I open my eyes and I’m staring at Vic. He is carrying me. I hate to be carried, but I’m so weak I can’t even begin to get the words out of my mouth. He gets me to the car and tells me where we are going, even though I already know. I nod my head and lean my head back against the head rest. I close my eyes, but quickly open them when Vic shakes me,

“Hazel, you can’t sleep, not yet. Keep your eyes open and once we get to the hospital, you can sleep.”

I nod my head again, showing him that I understood. He hands me his phone and tells me to play a song and I already know what song I want to hear. I look through his music, pretending I’m just scrolling through, but once I see the song I want, I press play and sit his phone on my knee. “You Found Me” by The Fray has been my favorite song since I heard it when me and Vic were driving around town when we were 16. It makes me feel calm, relaxed, and most of all, reminds me of Vic. I start humming the words, moving my head from side to side, getting lose in the song. Once the song is over, I look over and catch Vic staring at me. Why is he staring at me?

Vic’s POV:

Once we got to the hospital, I carried Hazel in and sat her down in the waiting room. I told the nurses what had happened and they got a wheelchair for her and immediately took her back. I told her I’d be back there in a minute, and I went outside and called Shay. I told her what happened, and she said she was heading to the hospital now. I stay outside for a couple more minutes, just breathing in the cool night air, trying to calm myself before I went back inside. This was going to be a long night, but at least I knew Hazel was okay for tonight.
