LALISA MANOBAN

lisa and jjk stared at the shimmering moon and the glistening stars around it. truly, a beautiful sight. and now it could finally be appreciated by the 17-year olds. when they were younger, they never really paid attention to that stuff, even though each time they transported into the world something beautiful happened.

"princessssssss," jjk drawled, entwining his hands with hers. "you never finished yesterday's story since you left so abruptly."

lisa paid no mind to jjk's hand holding hers, as it was normal. both '97s were often quite affectionate, and tended to hug often, snuggle with each other, and etc. they didn't have a close propinquity with other people like they did with each other, since the minute they closed their eyes they could hang out together.

for instance, one day, when they were about 10, jjk had fallen asleep during recess and ended up in the dream world. in thailand, lisa would blink, and see quick glimpses of the world, as if she was sleeping. so she closed her eyes and hung out with jjk for a little while since apparently they weren't just restricted to hanging out during night and dawn.

it was much easier for them to hang out and maintain their lives at the same time. for instance, they could hold a math sheet, and close their eyes, and the math sheet would come with them, so to other people around them, it would just seem like they were doing math homework with their eyes closed, but to them, they could work on the homework in the dream world and still have their answers transported into real life.

lisa glanced at jjk, unsure on how to start. "what do you mean?"

"i don't know. you were explaining your story, and then all of a sudden you just... vanished."

"oh! my alarm woke me up, and i had to get ready for school... sorry!" lisa mumbled, not making eye contact.

jjk sighed, if there was one characteristic about lisa that he didn't like, it was her consistency to blame herself for every small little thing. she would find any way to connect a problem that someone else was having to make it somehow her fault. lisa knew that, but she didn't understand why jjk would get upset with her when she did that.

he put his finger under her chin, lifting her head in his direction to make direct eye contact. she was a bit surprised but hid it well.

"princess..." jjk warned. a nickname jjk had given to her a while ago, since she reminded him of royalty sometimes.

"gguk..."

"you know that-"

"i'm just sorry since i didn't try to go back to sleep earlier that day!"

jjk's brown eyes pierced lisa's. she gulped. "i don't want you blaming yourself. especially for stupid things like this that aren't your fault. understand?"
