march 27, 2015. llm's 18th birthday. exactly two months until both teens graduated from high school.
jungkook's heart rushed. today, he was presenting llm with some of her favorite things: chocolates, candy, gamjatang, red velvet, and coca cola, all wrapped up with a marathon of disney movies.
the entire week, jungkook didn't stop thinking about llm. would llm want food? maybe dance equipment would be better? hm, maybe clothes! jungkook spent those days in that mindset, googling frantically for things that llm might like. now he was prepared; he was just waiting for her to arrive.
he wondered if llm would look any different for her birthday this year since every year she seemed to change something about her hair.
jungkook waited a little bit more, knowing llm had dance practice. but he was okay with it since that gave him more time to perfect everything. he made sure the edelweisses were placed everywhere, around his laptop, near the candles, circling the bed-fort... everything needed to be flawless.
his palms were profusely sweating, which made him quite confused. thinking back on it, he'd never felt like this when llm's birthdays arrived in the past. it'd started a while ago, these feelings, but it was worse this week. jungkook couldn't even sleep when in the dream world, even when he was beside his princess.
he didn't understand them, either. he tended to just disregard them, considering them inappropriate hormones.
abruptly, jungkook was pulled from his thoughts when llm arrived.
"i'm sorry! i'm so so late! dance practice ran a bit late and i had to go home and get ready for bed and..." llm trailed off, orienting herself with her surroundings.
"gguk..."
jungkook walked up to llm, putting the edelweiss behind her left ear, whispering, "happy birthday, princess."
"you did this... for me?"
"who else would i do this for? only you, princess."
jungkook gripped her hand, lacing their fingers together. he gently guided her over to the stereo. "dance with me?" he requested.
she shyly accepted, biting her lips. jungkook placed his arms around her waist, as she wrapped her hands around his neck.
they twirled around, giggling and fumbling around. llm hugged closer to him, snuggling her head on his neck. i could stay here forever, jungkook thought, letting out a sigh of content.
