the girl froze as she saw him. he froze as he saw her. tears started flowing down her cheeks as she shook her head and stared turning around. she started to walk into security.

kihyun ran after her and grabbed her arm. he turned her around and grabbed her face. and his heart cracked in half.

he saw
the eye bags that had formed on her once beautifully cheerful face.
the uncontrollable tears pouring out of her face as she cried at the sight of him.
her pale deflated cheeks that were once lively.
her skinny legs since she stopped herself from eating.
her baggy clothes to hide her body in every way possible.
her messy hair that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days.

but most importantly, he saw her for who she truly was
a beautiful, strong young women who he had fell in love with.
he was in love with her smiles, laughter, jokes, cooking, everything about her.

his heart broke when he snapped back to reality and saw her once more. he had broken her, he didn't deserve to be with her. he should just let her go. but he couldn't.

because he was crazy in love with her.

so he said the only three words that automatically
mended their relationship,
mended their hardships,
and mended both of their hearts.

"i love you."
and kissed her gently as she
wrapped her arms around his neck.
