The last shot, Amber decided to dunk. As she jumped up, she made her legs spring her up even farther than her leg's limit could take.
She jumped with full power, her arms extended towards the net. She scored.
Landing back in her feet the coach stares at her in awe.
"You're on the team. For sure!" He says to her. A smile grows on Amber's face. A slight blush spreading on her cheeks.
"Thank you!"
The girl couldn't be even happier as she grinned from ear to ear walking down the corridors of the school. Her excitement built up as she squealed to herself while leaving the school grounds. Her world seemed brighter now.
She went to the basketball court near the school and kept shooting some hoops there.
Walkers passed the park and saw Amber playing but a certain male kept watching her. She didn't notice and kept playing as if nobody was there.
While shooting a three-pointer, the male jumped up and blocked the ball, sending it flying back to Amber's shoulder.
She fell backwards and landed on her butt, a small huff coming from her as she did.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that." He quickly apologizes. He lends out his hand to her and she stares at the male.
He had a sort of blondish tint to his light brown hair. His lips curved into a smile. He had a red sweatband on his forehead as his hair was parted through the middle, landing on each side of his face. His "bangs" as you may call it, were slightly curly and his basketball uniform was red and black.
"I'm Ki-bum, but just call me Key." He smiles at the girl.
Amber realizes that she's still on the ground and grabs his hand as he pulls her up.
"I'm Amber." She smiles back. Key saw her uniform and knew exactly where she was from.
"I'm guessing you're in high school right?" He asks the girl.
"Yes you would be correct. I'm in my senior year, I just transferred to a new school." She adds, making the male smile.
"Cool! I'm a senior too." He smiles at her. Amber felt her cheeks heat up a bit as her heart slammed into her ribcage.
"Mind if I play a quick game with you?" He asks her, snapping her out if her thoughts.
"Y-yea I mean... no?" She stutters, a bit flustered. Key smiles sweetly, but smirks on the inside.
Cute.
The two play a small game while talking as if they've known each other for years. Spilling some secreta here and there and talking about tea that they've heard about famous people and even the ordinary people at school.
Talking and talking for what seemed like hours, it begins to get dark and somebody came by to tell them that they were closing the basketball court.
Smiling, they both shove stuff i ro their duffle bags and walk out side by side to Amber's house.
"So what position do you play?" He asks her.
"We just played like fifty games and now you ask me?" She chuckles. Key smiles sheepishly and nods. "Shooting guard."
"Wah, no wonder your three pointers were so accurate. You have mad talent." He compliments the girl.
"No waaaay. You're mistaken. You're a way better player than me." She denies, shaking her head to show that she disapproves of his statement.
