recently rumors have been going out that one of The Marauders, specifically one, padfoot aka Sirius liked someone from my house (your choice) and i really hoped it was me, but i heard everywhere especially from her that he liked her the popular girl so i gave up hope and started looking else where for a date to the yule ball

padfoots pov :
"i don't get how everyone is saying i liked her the popular girl but no i actually liked y/n so much, i've liked her since 2nd year when i met her on hogwarts express and i couldn't believe what i saw, long legs, long y/h/c hair, deep y/e/c eyes, i could get lost in each freckle she has on her face, or each lose strand of hair in her ponytail, or how she wears heels because she's too short compared to other girls, which is adorable, and how her laugh memorized me since i heard it for the first time, or the way her eyes scrunch up when she smiles, or how her braces are such ordinary colors but fit her so well, or how her friends always make her giggle." i said to prongs, he just laughed a little and said,
"i heard in the common room that y/n doesn't have a date, you should ask her if your SO in love with her" he said while winking and handing me the marauders map, i sigh and shove his shoulder and run off to go find her,
i finally found her around 8pm in the astronomy tower looking at the stars but someone was there with her, Lucius Malfoy, i glare at my enemy talking to her and hear the words
"hey y/n how about the yule ball, you, me? eh?" he asks
i go white all my blood drains from me, i try and get up and leave but something is making me stay, i hear the words
"i'm sorry lucius, i was wanting to go with someone else but they haven't asked" she said looking off the tower at the stars
"let me guess, your little crush, black?" he says teasing his long term best friend
"oh shut it malfoy" she said while giggling
my heart flutters and i finally get up and walking over but before i close the map and put it in my robes and dust them off,
"hey y/n?" i ask as i walk up the stairs
she turns around and sees me and immediately blushes
"i'll leave you two to it" malfoy says as he walks down the stairs to the slytherin common room
"i was w-wondering if you had a date to the yule ball yet?" i say as i glance around the room, anywhere but her.
she sits and thinks for a moment and i take that as a no
i scratch the back of my neck "i'm sorry i asked i'll just go, nice seeing ya l/n" i say as i walk away towards the stairs
she cut too deep, now she left me scarred
now there's too many thoughts goin' through my brain

as i'm halfway down i feel an hand on my wrist
"i'm sorry, i'd love to go!" she says
i smile and wrap my arms around her waist and twirl her around,
"i'll owl you before bc i have a question" i say as i smirk and wink as i walk away
"oh black what have you done to me?"

she laughs and walks back to her dorms

"no i totally just got stood up twice and don't worry not everything is about you!!" i say as i sigh in anger
"oh i'm sorry so everything is supposed to be about you, 'oh i'm sirius and i'm so perfect wait i just got stood up pity me' oh sod off you cocky git!" she yells
"matter of fact i will" i say as i walk back in pay my bill and walk out turn into my animagus and run back to hogwarts into my dorm and to see prongs
