Ivan's pov
Everyone congratulated me and my girlfriend, and she went home.
I was sitting in the chair in the living room when I heard the doorbell. I got up, sadly because I was actually really comfortable at the time. I opened the door to reveal Chase, who had on a black hoodie with the hood up, almost covering his face. "Sup man!" I said, giving him a side hug.
He tensed up a bit, but laughed it off as I let him in the "Mini Mansion". Chase walked in and I closed the door.
"Ava's in the shower right now, so if you want you can wait out here until she gets out." I suggested.
Chase nodded. "Alright." He sat down on the couch, me sitting back on the chair.
There was a but of silence, before I decided to break it. "Also, don't worry. She doesn't take super long showers unlike almost every single girl on the planet." I stated, laughing.
Chase looked at me, surprised. "Wait, for real?" He asked me.
I laughed again. "Yeah, she just isn't one to take very long I guess. She can literally get ready for school in just ten minutes. Even I take longer than her."
Chase laughed, "Wow. That's impressive. My sister takes two and a half hours to get ready, just to go out to eat." He said, rolling his eyes.
I was about to say something when I heard something fall upstairs. I got scared, knowing what happened last time, when Ava hurt herself.
I was going to run upstairs, until I saw Emilio at the top of the steps. "Ava's fine, She's not hurt." He told me as if he was reading my mind.
I breathed out in relief. "Thanks bro." I said, knowing he was still at the top of the stairs. "But, what happened?" I asked.
Emilio started talking again. "Well, she was walking out of the bathroom and all of a sudden she like fainted for a second, but I caught her. She knocked down the stool we had when she fell though." Emilio clarified.
"Why did she faint?" I asked him.
Emilio shrugged. "I don't think she got enough food for today. Or water." He replied.
I frowned at the statement he made. "We need to get her to eat more. This is getting scary." I honestly said.
"Yeah, I know." Emilio then looked at the couch to see Chase. "Oh, Chase! Hi!" Emilio laughed nervously. Just then an idea popped into Emilio's head randomly. "We need to talk to you before you go upstairs. It's not bad, we just want to... Kind of prepare you for what she is going to tell you." Emilio said, taking a seat next to Chase.
Chase nodded nervously as I continued what Emilio was saying. "So, this is very important to Ava. She might get very sad, so please try and take care of her." I said, looking at Chase.
"I promise, I will." Chase got a bit quieter. "I want to help her."
Emilio, without any warning, hugged Chase. "Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to us, and Ava. She really needs you. You make her happy."
Chase nodded, but for some reason, looked in pain after the hug. But, he smiled anyway. "Ava means a lot to me. She makes me really happy, and I haven't really felt that way before. Like, truly happy." Chase said, truthfully.
Emilio and I were now both smiling. "I'm really glad to hear that." I said, not knowing how else to respond.
Chase then spoke, after a little silence. "Okay, I really don't wanna sound rude or anything, but... Can I please go see Ava?" He asks our permission.
