"You're going to take someone's eye out!"

"He seriously is like a snake, sneaking around being sneaky. Being a- a snake! No wonder he's a slytherin! Stupid Snake." Phil muttered as he walked next to Chris. They walked quickly to the statue and Christ studied them.

"We have to get the books. But, when I went to the library to get the books on the battle of hogwarts, I was told they were all locked in the restricted section. We're going to have to sneak in without being seen, but to do that we're doing to need something, something I don't even know if it exists in our current decade."

"The cloak of invisibility." I said quietly and Chris nodded. We watched the face of the statue change for a moment, not saying anything.

"Chris, there's no way the cloak still exists in hogwarts." I said as I turned away from the statue to face him. "Not possible. The ministry took the wand, the cloak and the stone. There's no way we're breaking into the ministry of magic, I'm a Lester, not a Potter."

"You're right, it was a stupid idea." He sighed as he frowned and studied the statue. "There must be another way."

The next day Chris and Phil were sitting together in the library, in the quite whispers of fellow hogwarts students studying.

"The books are in there. The restricted section. So, I say we just try and smooth out way in." Chris said as he watched a seventh year student enter. "Go, be smooth."

"Phil," Dan greeted as he walked up. "The weird Ravenclaw you always seem to be hanging out with..."

Phil rolled his eyes and Chris just kept his eyes glued to the restricted section, hoping to figure out a way in. Chris didn't even notice dan, which made him feel bitter that his attempt to get a reaction from Chris had failed.

"You know phil you really could be something at hogwarts if you stopped hanging out with this freak-loser-birdbrain-"

Phil cut him off this time, not caring at all for his obnoxiously rude comments.

"That's enough, Dan. What do you want?" Phil sighed as dan took a seat across from them, studying the pair of boys. Chris kept watching the restricted section deep in thought.

"I want to know what you two are up too." He said. "Sneaking off, whispering, appearing out of the middle of no where."

"Were both smart enough not to tell you anything." Chris said as he flicked his eye to dan. "You'd better be off, otherwise you're wasting your time."

"Phil, come on. Tell me. I'm going to find out anyways, you can't hide things from me." Pleaded Dan, pissed but also curious.

"I'm sorry Dan, it's more than just a little secret. It's been years of work, we can't risk it all for your curious needs." Phil said as he turned to dan. Dan glared.

"Years?! I know you have that map, and by the looks of it, Chris is trying to get into the restricted section." Dan said as he studied us both. I put my notebook filled with plans in my satchel so he wouldn't see them.

Chris got up and went over and talked to the librarian. They lasted about a minuet, both Dan and Phil watching in silence.

Chris came back with a face of defeat, a mix of a frown and a look of annoyance toward the librarian.

"Tell me what book you need and I'll get it for you." Dan sighed as he stood up. "You two are pathetic."

"There's no way she'll let you in there, you're a sixth year. She said she's very strict on letting sevens in only." Chris said as he shook his head. Dan rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his hair.

"You can get us the book but there's no way we're answering your questions." I frowned.

"Whatever I'm just sick of your pathetic attempts."

"The battle of hogwarts" Chris said as dan gave him a look. Phil knew what he was thinking by the way his nose twitched and the judgment in his eyes grew you're choosing some done battle book over the ones with hot naked people? Nerd.

"Nerd." Dan said as he rolled his eyes. "Now I know you're up to something that has to do with the battle of hogwarts."

"Just go get us the books, dan." Chris said. The next thing he said was in a tone that was sprinkled with challenge, a tone dan couldn't ignore from someone so beneath him. "Unless you really can't do it. I always thought slytherins were all talk, no action. Maybe I was right."

Dan didn't say anything and just glared at us before turning and walking over to the old librarian woman. They talked, she laughed. Dan must have flipped his fake charm switch on, and was using it pretty successfully by the looks of it. About thirty more seconds of their polite banter went on and she let him in, and Chris and I turned to each other both mirror each other's looks of surprise.

He came out a couple minutes later with all three of the big brown books and checked them out.

"You got the books!" Phil grinned excitedly as he stood up. He couldn't keep his excitement in as he looked at the dusty books, probably not touched in decades.

"Yeah, the librarian always said I looked like her grandson, so she's been letting me sneak into the restricted section since I was fourteen. Do you know how many ducking naked people there are in half those book. Lemme Just day, Alfie had a great time reading them."

"Oh dan you don't even know what this means but it's big, it's really big!"

"Great." He said slyly as he slipped the books into his backpack. "You can have them when you explain everything to me. Until then these books are staying locked in the slytherin common room, as far away from your sneaky hands as they can get."

Just like that he left, knowing that he would find out the truth. He had too, his curiosity was eating away at him alive.

"Fucking snake!" Chris fumed as he slammed his fist down on the table. The library shot him an angry look and Chris let out an aggravated sigh. "Never trust a snake."
