Chapter 1: First Day Of School

Cessy's POV

Hey, I'm guessing you all think you know me, but trust me, there's a lot more to me than you realize. Even the author isn't aware of.

Right now, I find myself at Maddisen Academy, my aunt's school, and soon to be mine. It's my first day here, and I'm searching for my aunt's office.

Walking through the crowded hallway, I can feel the judgmental stares from so many people. I'm already wearing my disguise, and it seems to be eliciting some disgusted reactions.

I couldn't care less about their opinions. I put on a nerdy act, tilting my head slightly just like some other nerds do when they're embarrassed.

As I continue walking, someone intentionally bumps into me. The surrounding crowd gasps and laughs, clearly enjoying the drama. I even hear someone whisper, "I hope she can survive the queen."

This girl who confronted me is a complete stranger, but her face is plastered with makeup, making her look like a damn clown. She's got her posse of girls behind her, acting all high and mighty just like her. But you know what? I'm not impressed.

Hmm, perhaps I could gather some personal information from Death Gray *smirk*.

Ohhh, you all are still unaware of him, right? Well, soon enough, you'll get to know all about him.

I was just about to stand up and walk away from these bitches because I didn't want to get into trouble on my first day of school when suddenly, some of them grabbed my hair.

I couldn't help but curse under my breath. If I hadn't disguised myself as a nerd today, they might be begging for their lives right now.

I tried to push back against their grip, grinding my teeth in frustration.

"Don't look at me like that, you nerd!" one of them sneered, pulling my hair even harder. I knew I had to do something; I couldn't let them beat me up like this.

Before I could respond, someone else intervened.

"What's going on here?" a woman, who didn't look like a student, but more like a secretary or a teacher in this school, appeared.

"Uh, Secretary Joan, it's just some-" one of the girls stammered.

"Go to the detention office now!" the woman ordered, confirming that she was indeed a secretary.

I realized this was a perfect opportunity to ask her about my aunt's office later after this.

"But ma'am, we didn't do anything. She's the one who started it, not us," one of the girls tried to defend themselves.

I couldn't help but feel enraged by their lies. They were making up excuses to shift the blame on me.

"She's right, ma'am. She bumped into us and then started shouting that it was our fault," another girl added.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I didn't shout at them; someone else had intervened and they conveniently ignored that fact. These girls were trying to make me look like the aggressor.

Feeling anger bubbling inside me, I decided I couldn't let them get away with this. They had no idea who they were dealing with, and they were about to find out.

"Go to the detention office no-" Secretary Joan began to say.

"But ma'am, she started first," Clown #3 tried to defend themselves.

"How disrespectful! How dare you cut me off while talking," Secretary Joan scolded.

"Sorry ma'am, she didn't mean to-" Clown #2 attempted to apologize.

"I said go to the detention office right now!" Secretary Joan interrupted firmly.

"But ma'am--" Clown #1 tried to plead.

"I SAID GO RIGHT NOW!!!!" Secretary Joan raised her voice, leaving no room for further argument.

"Yes ma'am," they said in unison, begrudgingly complying with her command.

One of the girls who had grabbed my hair whispered something to me, but I couldn't hear it. However, I could read her lips, and it was a threatening message: "You're dead meat, nerd. Starting today, we'll make you suffer." I couldn't help but think that I should be the one saying those words to them.

"And you," she pointed at me, "I guess you're the transferee ." Well, it was pretty obvious. I played along and nodded.

"Yes, Ma'am, may I ask where the headmistress's office is?" I spoke respectfully, maintaining the pretense that we were not related.

"Okay, follow me," she said, leading the way.

We walked straight for about 2 minutes until we reached our destination. We stopped in front of a grand door, which I assumed was my aunt's office.

Before entering, Secretary Joan knocked on the door three times, and then we went inside.

Inside, my auntie was busy with some paperwork.

"Excuse me, Headmistress, the transfer student is here," Secretary Joan announced and bowed.

I looked at her, unsure if I needed to bow as well. She gave me a hint with her look, so I decided to show some respect and did the bow.

Ugh, why do I have to bow? She's my aunt; I don't need to do this. But then, I reminded myself to keep up the nerdy act.

"Oh, I didn't know today was the day you would transfer," she said, looking at me. "Secretary Joan, you may now leave," she ordered with authority.

"Yes, of course, Headmistress. I'll head to the detention office where those girls are causing trouble again," Secretary Joan said before leaving.

"Did they bully someone again?" Auntie asked, seemingly unaware it was me who they had bullied.

"Yes, and the one they just bullied is the transfer student," Secretary Joan said, looking at me.

"Ohh...." Auntie responded.

"Now excuse me, Headmistress, I have something to deal with those girls," Secretary Joan said.

"Hmmm, okay, you can go now, Joan," Auntie said, and Secretary Joan left.

"Ohh, my adorable niece, how are you? Are you alright? Did those three girls hurt you? Hohoho, tell me," she suddenly stood up, came to me, and embraced me tightly.

Why is my aunt so childish compared to me? Does she still think she's young even though she's already in her late 40s?
