I sat in the tub not realizing what I had said. I finally got out and wrapped the towel around me limping into his bedroom. I open the door and his eyes was bloodshot red. ''Jerome what's wrong?'' I said with worry. '' I'm good baby just get dress and I'll buy you something to eat.'' He said kissing her cheek. '' Okay baby'' I said letting a tear roll down my cheek. I got up and lotion down my body putting on the lingerie set he gave me put on and took my clothes from yesterday and put that on. I put my now curly hair into a messy bun and didn't bother with my make-up. I walked to the living room door and stood there watching him takes long drags from his joint til he notice me.

''You ever smoked?'' he asked looking at me. ''No'' I said looking at my toes. ''You want to try it?'' he said handing it to me. I hesitated and took it from his hand and inhaled it. I choked. I looked to see Lamont. ''You need a ride?'' he asked showing me his teeth again. '' No I'm good'' I said steady walking. '' Yes yo ass do get in here'' he said laughing. ''No I don't just go the fuck away'' I said raising my voice. ''You mad about yesterday?'' he asked. ''What I saw yesterday didn't phase me one bit'' I lied.
