I didn't expect the human to fall asleep so easily. I woke up to find the humans hand linked with mine. How did I not feel this the night before? The human was making me feel emotionally drained, but in a good way. Even though I just met this human yesterday, they've made me enjoy myself like I've never had before. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I'm around them. What was this feeling? Was it love? I couldn't answer these questions I had, but maybe they could.
"Shinsa?" The human asked. Their e/c eyes were opening slowly as were their eyelashes flickering. I looked at them with my usual scowl but my eyes were much calmer than usual.
"What is it?" I asked rather blandly.
"I'm hungry." The human simply stated. I heard something growl which scared me and caused me to jump. The human laughed and said, "Don't worry, that was just my stomach."
"What is a stomach?"
"Wait, are you serious? You don't know what a stomach is?" The human asked me with a dumbfounded expression.
"Yes, I am completely serious. I'm a gem. I don't eat." I stated.
"A gem? The hell is that?" The human asked me.
"It's what I am. Come with me and I'll show What what gems are." I replied. I took a hold of their silky soft hands; in response they intertwined their fingers with mine. It was a long walk to the hill where gems were made, but once we got there they hid behind me.
"What is this place?" The human asked.
"It's where I was made. You see," I rubbed off the powder covering my arm. As I did this, the human backed away from me slowly. "Us Gems are literally gems. We just come in humanoid forms. We put on powder to intimate skin."
"But what about your hair? And your eyes?" The human countered.
"Our eyes and hair are less dense than our bodies, so my hair can flow through wind and my eyes can move." After a few moments I noticed the humans nervousness. "What's wrong? Was it something I said?"
"No, it's just...I don't know what happened to my race that's all. All I remember was some giant meteor coming down and then a bright light." The human told me.
"Oh." Was all I could say this point. The human's stomach growled once more.
"When are we getting food? I feel like my stomach is starting to digest itself." The human was clearly in a state of fatigue so I decided to do what was best. "What the, put me down! I can still walk you know!" I carried the human bridal style and started to walk. They were flustered all over and hid their face in embarrassment.
"You're going to have to eat fish Y/n," I told them.
"Aww what? You don't have any meat?"
"Any What now?" I asked perplexed.
"Nothing, never mind." The human replied. I walked towards the school in search of clothing. Hopefully that Beryl won't see us.
