Tony's POV
"Where are they?" I stomped around the room, while Nat and Legolas had a argument about how to spell Perseus and Bruce was trying to teach Thor and Grampa what a chicken nugget was.
"They might have lost track of time, Tony. Why don't you just text your friend Peter?" Nat asked, sounding bored out of her mind.
"I'm telling you, there's a C in Perseus! P-e-r-c-e-u-s!" Clint yelled.
"No! Did you even read the file? It's an S! Not a C!" Nat screamed back before turning to me. "they'll be here soon,"
A few minutes later the elevator opened and out stepped three laughing teenagers.
"Wait, why do you dislike lettuce?" Peter chuckled while trying to catch his breath.
"Well, uh... My friends are these pranksters, and scientists. They somehow made this drink that made me think that I turned into a guinea pig. It was the scariest moment of my life! Why are you laughing?" Percy was the only person in the room who wasn't laughing.
"The funniest thing was his face. Eventually it wore off, but I had a good laugh at that. If I wasn't running from them myself," Annabeth wheezed.
I composed myself. "So. About that sword. Can I take it from you for some lab work?" If I could see what it was, I could make it for myself. Maybe for Cap's shield! Or Thor's hammer! Well, maybe not. He wouldn't let me touch it. And I won't admit it to anyone out loud, but I can't pick it up. I'll figure something out.
"You can try," Percy chuckled softly, looking over at Annabeth like they were secretly communicating. But that's not something teenagers do. Right?
He handed me a pen made of some sort of bronze or copper. This isn't the sword! "Dude, I asked for the sword, not a pen!" I gave me a frustrated look.
"Uncap it," he said in a bored tone, but I could tell he was watching me for an reaction. Annabeth snorted.
I decided, what the heck, and uncapped it. From the pen a giant sword sprung out. The unexpected weight of the sword made me drop it. Clint took out his phone and took a picture of me. I must have had a hilarious face. But my pride makes sure I won't admit that.
"Okay, well... That's a cool party trick," my voice came out way too high for my liking. Percy burst out laughing. I looked around, everyone was laughing, even if they were as surprised as me.
"It's not that funny guys!" I yelled, making them laugh harder. I got up, grabbed the sword, and marched to my lab. I placed it under a microscope. As I thought. Bronze.
That's not the best metal for wear and tear. I could make some improvements. Then it disappeared.
"What the-"
"Language!" Cap yelled from down the hall.
"How do you even hear me so well? The 70 year old has better hearing than me!" I threw up my hands. "I need new normal friends!" I hear running from down the hall.
"I thought you wanted this," The kid has some nerve. A grabbed the pen from him, took off the cap, and put it back under the microscope.
"Jarvis, scan the writing and tell me what it says," I say without lifting up my head.
"Tony, are you feeling alright?" Percy asked, looking very concerned.
"The language is ancient Greek, the word is Anaklusmos, roughly translating to Riptide or undertow," Jarvis's voice made the boy jump.
"You know I could have told you the swords' name was Riptide if you asked me to," he grumbled. I sighed.
"Why Greek?" I asked.
"Why not?" He said.
"Why not English?" I asked. Ugh, this is gonna be hard to get an answer from him.
"Because I am dyslexic and Greek looks cool. And why have such a basic language that people like you understand?" He started cleaning dirt out from under his nails. I looked up at him.
"Okay, out of my lab!" I shouted, shooing him out.
"It's not my fault if it disappears again!" He yells as he walks towards the sitting room we we're waiting for them in. I shook my head, and turned back to the sword. Or where it should have been.
"God damn it!" I yelled.
"Two things in that sentence were incorrect!" I hear the boy's annoying voice from the hallway.
"Ugh!"

Peter's POVThey really outdid themselves on decorating this place. Well, then again, this is Mr. Stark we're talking about. The sofa was black (probably because of how messy the Avengers are), the walls were a nice warm gray, with blue lines leading up to the Avengers logo. The the TV took up most of the wall in front of the couch, not that I would complain. And the carpet is so springy! If feel like I could bounce into the ceiling, even if it's too high for a normal living space. It also helps that I'm Spiderman. Jumping made easier.
"So, Peter, how's your algebra class?" Annabeth said.
"Well- wait, aren't you in my algebra?" I cocked my head. My Spidey senses were going crazy. I shook my head, trying to turn them off.
"Are you okay?" Annabeth took a step towards to try to help. I suddenly felt the urge to hit her. I felt angry. My head swam. What is happening to me?
"Peter?" Nat's voice was filled with concern.
I lunged at Annabeth, trying to... Well, I'm not sure what I was trying to do. She kept blocking my punches and attacks.
"Come at me, Annabeth!" I screamed, rage erupting through my vocal chords. I haven't ever felt this angry. And I don't even know why.
Annabeth's eyes softened. Those are the eyes of the betrayer! Wait, who?
"It's the spider. Well, there goes my hopes of being your friend!" Nat just looked confused. Then, I jumped on Annabeth.
All I saw were concerned and pitying faces as my vision went black.
