restless peace

Yugakure was quiet small place  typically used for vacation and retirement but Itachi felt a connection with the village despite part of him feeling it was only temporarily he would enjoy it. He somewhat enjoyed his work but keep an eye out for something that would bring in more money because his goal for the time being was to find a more stable place then a hotel.

Itachi sat in a park near Izumi's work place and took in a breath of fresh air as he people watched.  The people seem content and over all happy with their simple lives. Itachi wanted that he wanted to be happy, he wanted a simple live and he hoped he would get to that point. "Itachi i am done for the day." The brunette Uchiha said as she approached with a smile. "Are you ready to go apartment hunting? A cowork gave me some tips of where to look." The raven haired Uchiha gave a nod and stood at her words. He eyed her humble kimoto that the towel maids wore at the hot spring and he thought the kimoto was fitting to her personality but hoped she would find a another job soon.

The two Uchiha walked down the streets looking at apartments and small houses that would be in their price point. Izumi pointed out a few places she liked  until an elderly lady approached them. "You are awfully young to out on your own... but i guess now days children do not say children for long, here..." she held out the basket to the young teenagers. "I have a small bakery please take these as a welcome to our village." Izumi smiled and took the basket before giving a bow. "Thank you. We are happy to be here." The elserly lady gave a nod and passed them. Itachi took the basket from his clan member making her smile at him before eyeing a small humble cottage like house. "that's the one..." she said as she walked closer to the house. Itachi glanced over the house then looked at Izumi who had a sparkle in her eye and a sweet smile on her face, in her eyes he saw her dreams and let out a small sigh. "let's check out the price." Izumi hugged him excitedly for the first time before running to the house. Itachi calmly followed her.

Izumi put a down payment on the house herself despite Itachi's silent protest. "It will take awhile before I can own the house but putting a down payment makes the house mine... well sort of." Itachi was quiet having no reply to her words but finally spoke when they reached the hotel. "You want to stay together don't you?" She looked at him a little surprised by his words and serious face. Izumi gave a light blush and looked away. "Of course..." "then I should pay for the house as well." She gave an apologetic look. "I'm sorry... I just know you aren't making a lot of money right now plus you are paying for the hotel room and that isn't cheap so I thought it was the least I could do for you allowing me to stay with you." He gave a small huff never expecting to have a disagreement with Izumi but he admired her kindness and want to help. He understood how she felt about the situation and couldn't be over annoyed but her reasons. "I pay the next payment." She gave a smile and nod before they went to their hotel room to prepare for the next day.

Izumi took a bath and changed clothes before grabbing her weapon pouch before looking in Itachi's direction, he laid on his bed with his heads behind his head. The raven haired Uchiha stared lost in thought as usual. "I'm going to train." She called before leaving out the door. Itachi glanced at the door once she was gone and sighed. He knew she was happy to be in a peaceful place but he also knew she felt restless doing nothing after work. Itachi himself enjoyed relaxing after all the cleaning he did and wanted to enjoy the peacefully aura as much as he could. Itachi decided to mediate while she was gone, letting his thoughts flow and his mind went to one thing, Sasuke. Part of him hoped he was live but in all reality he doubted it.

Itachi sat in the middle of his bed thinking of his brother, his patents and his village. He was deep in thought and didn't even realize Izumi returned an two after she left with dinner. She sat in on the food on a small table then approached him silently and wiped his tears that ran down his face. He opened his eyes and looked at the blurry young teen in front of him. Itachi pulled away from her touch and wiped his face. "Itachi... I know you are carrying a heavy burden... I don't really know how you feel but I also betrayed the clan I also left people behind that I cared about... I feel more terrible then words can describe but I'm also happy in a weird way... I can't explain it but I'm happier here despite what might has happened to our clan. Itachi stared at the brunette in front of him.

The room was quiet as they stared at each other until Izumi glanced away and started to walk back to the little table that the food was on but Itachi grabbed her wrist gently making her look back at him. She stopped in her tracks and looked at his hand on her wrist before he pulled her towards him and hugged her, Izumi's eyes grew wide at the surprising embrace. It was unlike Itachi to show such affection and he honestly wasn't sure made him do it but Izumi was sitting on his bed in his arms, he took in the scent of her sweet smelling shampoo then let her go, she quickly moved away with a blush and stiffly walked over to the food. She was silent as she tried to calm her racing heart and make sense of what just actually happened. "Sorry..." he muttered making her head whip around to make eye contact with the raven haired Uchiha who wore a light pink blush on his cheeks. "No please don't be... it was okay, it was kind of nice. We are friends so hugging is natural right?" She gave an awkward smile making him nod and stand. "let's  eat..."
