"You weren't joking when you said you cared about me?" Warren asked. The nurses had cleared out and everyone had left. It was quiet just Warren and I. I shook my head. "Warren, when was the last time I told a damn joke?" I ask him. Warren seemed to begin searching through all the times had talked to me. "Never..." Warren seemed to be shocked. "Yes, I care about you, you're my friend. I've been stuck in that prison with your plucky attitude for years. At first you were just another annoying mutant but you became a friend, my only friend. Warren I've never been more serious when I said I cared about you." Warren payed at to me as I talked. I learned over the years no matter how annoying Warren could be he was a good listener. "So you saved my life?" Warren seemed to be full of questions. "Well, actually I don't know what I did, I guess it's part of my healing powers." I shrugged casually. It took Warren a few seconds to process what I had just said. "Wait, you're a healer?" He said, his voice full of confusion. "Yeah, I guess so." I said. Now that nothing was happening and nobody was in danger I had the chance to fully look at my wings. They were the same as Warrens, the same design, same metal, Sam amount of danger, but for such a dangerous thing my wings were beautiful. But I was used to light leather wings, like the ones of a bat. Angel seemed happy with his wings since his originals were burn or damaged. "Alexis, thank you." Warren said. "Excuse me?" I look at him. "Thank you for saving me." Warren sounded like he was hesitating. "Your Welcome." I nod at him. I hear the doors open and Charles Xavier comes rolling in followed by Jean and Hank. "Welcome to the school for mutants." Charles smiled at us. I shifted my wings they made the sound of metal slicing through the air. "We're are we supposed to go?" I ask Charles. "You can go to this school. That's the only door I can open for you, Alexis." Charles still had that satisfied smile on his face. Warren glanced at me then at the professor. "You want us to go to your school?" Warren asked. Charles only nods in response. "It's not like you guys can go anywhere else." Scott said walking in. "You're annoying." I snapped. "So I've been told." He crossed his arms and stood behind Charles. I saw Warren smirk out the corner of my eye. "Well I accept your offer." I nod at Charles. Warren looked deep in thought. "I'll give it a try." Warren finally answered after thinking for almost five minutes. "Glad you could join us."
