Let Me Shine // Tessa Brooks

chapter 16

Chance and Anthony have been living with us for 1 month and everything has been great.

Anthony and I have a brother and sister relationship, we always make fun of each other or we like pulling pranks on the member of the house.

Chance is a good friend, we got to know each other really well and sometimes without realizing it, he flirts.

I was in the kitchen when I heard footsteps, I moved a little bit and in the corner of my eye I saw Jake and Ivan trying to hide probably trying to surprise me.

I felt presence behind me and turned around.

"Nice try but I saw you in the living in room. You can't scare me everytime" I said.

"At least we tried, we will scare you so much next time Tessa." Ivan replied.

"I'm gonna prepared myself then. Anyways why did you come here, i'm pretty sure it wasn't just to scare me."

"Since everyone woke up early we decided to go out all day, it's Saturday and nobody has something planned." Jake said

"I helped jake to find the idea" Ivan said. "What do you think ?"

"It's a good way to relax but where are we going ?" I asked trying to get informations.

"We are going to Santa Monica !" I heard Alissa yell as she was going down the stairs.

"Hey! I was supposed to say that !" Ivan said pouting.

"Well next time you will work faster." She replied.

"Okay, we live in 30 minutes. I believe you should start getting ready right now if you don't to be left alone today." Jake laughed looking at Alissa, he turned back to me "You too Tessa."

"Are you kidding me !? 30 minutes minutes is not enough !"

The boys just chuckled. I took Alissa's hand and we ran up the stairs.

"Guys we are gonna prove you that it's possible to be ready in less than 30 minutes !" I shouted through the house.

"She's just joking, everybody in this house knows that !" Alissa shouted back.

"We'll see maybe she's right !" Jake yelled.

I took a shower, got dressed and threw what I needed for the day in my bag such as money, swimsuit,..

I put my shoes on and went to Alissa's room and heard the water still running.

"Oh come on Alissa ! What are you doing in the shower ? We leave in less than 10 minutes !" I said to her.

And at this moment I heard the water stop.

"What !? 10 minutes ? How am I gonna do ?!" She asked clearly surprised.

I heard movement and she opened the door with force, she dried herself put on her clothes while I was putting everything she was citing me in a bag.

5 minutes later she was ready and we were going down the stairs.

Everybody was ready

"Well, 25 minutes to get ready." Jake said looking at his watch.

"I think that's a record for Alissa !" Nick said laughing.

We left and got in the truck but we played at rock paper visors to know who would sit where.

Nick was driving

I was sitting between Chance Aj and alissa was in front of me. We talked during the distance.

"What's the plan when we arrive there ?" Jake asked us

"First, we could just walk around the city, then find a restaurant or somewhere to eat, do some rides on the pier and then go to the beach." Erika proposed.

"That's a great idea." Anthony said.

"I'm agree." Nick said.

"Okay we have a planning for the day then, I wanted to keep the surprise till later but I can't wait." Jake said turning to look behind him.

"What is it ?" Emilio asked excited.

"We have a photo shoot planned. It's maybe not a lot but I really want to do it, with all the members. The Dobre twins will join us later." He smiled and turn back around.

After 20 minutes of driving we found a parking lot  and parked the car.

"Such a nice day today isn't it ?" He said closing his eyes and breathing in deeply.

I did the same and felt relaxed. "It is actually, I thought it was going to be a boring weekend but it isn't." I said looking at him and he smiled.

...

We walked a lot and when the boys were hungry we went to eat in a restaurant near the fun fair.

"We are finally going to the beach !" I said excitedly.

"The last one to get into the water has to pay the dinner tonight !" Jake shouted and as he said that we all began to race to the shore.

The sand was making it harder to run, especially with things in our hands but  the Ohio trio won, I looked next to me and saw the Martinez twins, Aj and erika trying to pass me while Alissa was far behind.

"You better wait for me Tessa ! It's not fair we just ate ! I can't run, I'm tired !" She said but I just laughed.

I arrived before Aj and erika was behind him.

Alissa lost the race, Nick and Kade were carrying the things for the photo shoot later so they couldn't run.

After swimming a little with everyone I got back to the sand with the girls and laid down to tan.

"Today is actually a funny day." Erika said smiling.

"It's so relaxing, nobody has to hurry and that is a good thing." Alissa simply said and I nodded my head.

The sky was blue and the sun was shining, I was listening to the waves  and my eyes were closed trying to empty my mind.

I felt someone hide the sun I was about to say something but Erika was faster than me.

"Can you please go away, I can't tan anymore, I don't feel the sun on my skin." Erika said and I wanted to laugh at her tone, I opened my eyes to see Jake on the side mimicking her.

"We just want to play with you girls." He said.

" What kind of game ? Please don't make me hurry, I think I did enough of that today." Alissa whined making us laugh.

"Don't worry, we won't bother you anymore. The rule is simple we have to take one of you on our shoulder and you have to make fall the team against you" Chance said.

"Why not ? This can be fun." I said smiling.

"I'm down are you ?" Erika said looking at Alissa with puppy eyes.

"Okayyyy, fiiine" she said giving up.

...

After playing we had the photo shoot and now I have a picture with everyone in t10.

We looked at the sunset and went back home.

"I don't know about you but I'm exhausted, i'm gonna go to sleep. Goodnight everyone." Alissa said and everyone followed.

Jake was the last one here, I went to the kitchen to take back my belongings and went next to Jake.

"Thank you for everything Jake, I love being here and today was a really good day." I smiled and he opened his arms and hugged me.

"No problem Tessa." I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas.

I laid in bed thinking of today and every moment that meant a lot to me since I moved to LA.

I closed eyes and drift off to sleep.

I'm really sorry I didn't upload in a long time, I didn't have an idea for this chapter, and I didn't really had the time to write i hope you understand.
