I chuckled and layed back on his bed. I wanted to close my eyes so terribly, but knowing that if I did I'd be haunted by Dawn's face, killed me on the inside. He told me it didn't hurt, but was that the truth? Did he die painfully? Does it matter now? He's in the light, he's in Heaven.

I decided to not fall asleep. After I made sure Sam was asleep I silently climbed over him and walked out of the bedroom. I closed the door behind me. I walked into the living room and sat on the couch. I picked up a cross that layed next to my foot. I fiddled it in my fingers and noticed my angel still on the floor. I picked it up and scratched off the blood stains. I looked at my palm and noticed I didn't have scratches or scars from where it got cut. I looked at the angel who nodded and closed her eyes. I picked up the small satchel I used as a purse. I put the cross and angel in it and pulled my shoes on, not bothering with socks. I walked to the fridge and grabbed a water bottle.

I walked to the front door and stared at the place where I last saw Dawn. I went back and picked up another cross and put it against the wall, kissing my two fingers and placing it there, hoping it would hold his memory. I turned to look at the angel before I opened the door into the cold night air. Her eyes were closed so I didn't say anything.

The chilly air of the night felt good against my sore body. I walked on and lost myself in thought. Before I knew it I was at the mouth of the woods. I looked through them, it was dark, but something was beckoning me. I couldn't resist the pull. "Come," It echoed in my head. I took a step in and then another. I couldn't stop my legs if I tried, but I didn't want to.

I got deeper into the forest, not looking where I was stepping, not caring where I was stepping. I walked over twigs and roots and something that smelt decayed, but it didn't stop me, that voice was so familiar, so welcoming. I walked until I walked into a clearing, where I stopped abruptly. Something in my head told me to turn, to run away, but I couldn't. The voice in my head told me pleadingly to come closer, to help him.

It wasn't until I was close enough to see the body that I realized they were speaking to me in death. "Help me, please." It sobbed. I got closer, it was so dark that I couldn't see anything. The hand in front of my face would have been barely visible. I crouched down about a foot from the body, something snapped under my foot, it startled me and I jumped. "It hurts, please, help me, Soff's. That demon got me good."

"Dawn?" I screamed, saying the words out loud made it feel like I was yelling in the library. I crawled closer on my hands and knees and put my hands on his face.

"It hurts so bad Soff."

"Oh my gosh, Dawn! Are you okay? I'm so happy to see you! Don't worry I'll take care of this! What happened, why are you way out here?"

"Soff's," He reached for my hand,"My stomach, he got me in my stomach."

I brushed the hair out of his eyes, but still he kept them closed. I lifted up his shirt to reveil a  long gap on his mid torso. I traced my hand along it, warm sticky blood followed in my quake. Ghost's dpn't bleed. Not right, something's not right.  Confusion struck me like a bullet and I stood, wiping the dried leaves from my knees. "Dawn, don't worry, I'm going to go get Sam, he'll help us."

"No, Soff's don't leave me, I'm scared." He grabbed my ankle.

"Dawn, no, let go, I'm going to get help, okay? I'll be back I promise." I stepped out of his hand and ran. I tripped over a risen root, and landed next to the smell of decay. My eyes had adjusted enough by now and the smell worsened as I got up. I tripped again, this time my right hand barely touched the ripped carcus of a deer. My left hand fell against something smooth when I moved it I found a white clean bone. I scream.

Dawn wispered suddenly at my side, "YOu know, Soff's, you always were the wrost liar." I looked into his face, and scream. His eyes were open, and insdstead of them being carmel brown they were blood red.

I got up in a flash an sprinted forward not knowing where I was going, just hoping to get some distance between us. "What are you doing? Just kill her."

"She's an angelic, let'd get that delicious blood racing." Dawn replied. As  I ran demons with the same blood colored eyes jumped out from behind trees and bushes. I tripped falling flat on my face, Dawn turned me over and inhaled deeply, "You always had the biggest heart, I wonder what that tastes like don't you?" He grabbed my bag and removed the contents inside it. He took the water I brought with me and poured it on my hyperventilating body. He took the cross and threw it deep in the woods, then finally he pulled out the angel. He twisted it around in his fingers as the other demons came closer he dropped it on the ground and smashed it with his bare hands, "Whoops. No help now, bye-bye angels." He put his hand on my cheek and stoked my jaw line, 'What a pretty face, let's rip it up." The other demons laugh manically. He took one of his black painted nails and dug it right under my cheek bone, drawing out a long slender line of crimson fear.
