Loving A Mermaid (Gruvia FTHS)

I left to school early. Gajeel called me late last night that hes already put my name on the waiting list for Fairy Hills.

I walk to my seat in my classroom and smiled to myself. I couldn't sleep at all last night.

"You're early" and I jumped. It was Gray he sat next to me which is Lucy's seat. There are only the two of us in here. So awkward!!!

"Well Juvia" said Gray breaking the silence...sorry about breaking into your house..well I forgot to leave the key so um here" he place my extra key on my desk.

"Thanks Gray...for the present you gave Juvia..Juvia loves it. Juvia will take good care of it" I told him blushing.

"That's good. Its my first guitar. I've never use it for years now. Always took care of it but never used it. The last time I remember using it was my last performance alone. I made up the Snowflake Band and then...the guitar was just never needed."

"Oh...whats the guitar's name?" I asked.

"Its Snowflake. That's how I named my band."

"I-is it okay if...Juvia calls Gray...well Juvia means is it okay with Gray if Juvia adds Sama to Gray's name?" I asked embarrassed.

He blushed and I giggled. "S-s-sure I don't see the harm"

I smile. "Gray Sama" I whispered.

"Wah! D-don't say it so suddenly!"

"Hey hey Gray Sama why are you enemies with the Dragonflies?" I asked.

"Because...its like fire and Ice together. They don't go together"

"But if you put fire and ice together wouldn't you get water? Fire melts the ice turning it to water"

"Yea thats true. Well then lets think of my band and natsu's band as fighting for the top" said Gray as he stood up.

"Juvia, Bora you know him?" asked Gray.

I panicked for a bit. "No-no...well how should Juvia put this...Bora is Juvias ex boyfriend"

"What?!" shouted Gray.

I nodded my head yes.

"Well anyways he drop out of the band...and well we're looking for a new member and thought maybe you could join us. Ah and don't worry about Lyon"

"Sorry Gray Sama but Juvia would like to decline that offer...Juvia can not betray Gajeel Kun and his band"

"I see...well then it can't be help" he sigh.

"Gray Sama...are you going out with another girl at the moment?" as I say that he blushed really hard.

"Hell no do I have one." he said. "The girls here and there are always screaming crazy at me. Never would have the chance to love someone"

"Are you saying that Juvia is crazy too?"

"N-no!" he exclaim.

"Them what does Gray Sama think of Juvia?"

"To be honest, Juvia looks like a gloomy girl, weird and different...but beside that I think Juvia is...fun and c-cute"

I laughed out loud then cover my mouth. This is my first time laughing like this. Usually my laughs would be like whispers.

"That's a cute laugh Juvia. You should really laugh some more like that" said Gray and I could tell I went crazy red.

"T-thank you..." He call me cute twice!

"Well Juvia seems like people will be coming soon so...our little meeting just now, is between the two of us okay?" he winked at me and walk out the door.

"Kyah!" I squeal sliently. Ha...Fan girl moment.

"JUVIA!" Gajeel slam the door open jumping in front of me. "You weren't at your house today!"

"Juvia just came a little early.. " I said smiling like an idiot.

"You look...like an idiot" said Gajeel.

I bite my lip and stare at Gajeel. "Gajeel Kun have you ever been in love?" I asked.

"Well...no..I mean..."

"In love with Levy chan right?" I guessed. I mean I see those two after school together sometimes.

"Hold on!" shouted Gajeel suddenly. "You were with gray huh? I can smell him." wow trying to avoid the subject huh?

"Uh...nope" I said. I won't break a promise. My first promise with Gray that is.

Class started. All I could think of was Gray. When break came Levy came up to me.

"Hey Juvia! So I was told to tell you that you can move into Fairy Hills today. Your room will be on the second floor 213. Well if you have any questions just ask!" and she left with her band to practice. Oh how I just wanna go and play that guitar Gray gave me.

I walk to a vending machine and look at my wallet. "Hmmm..." I haven't been able to earn money lately since my guitar is gone.

I only have one $20, two $5s, one $10, and six $1s. I'm saving for a present too. The present would be my birthday. My birthday is the day of the Sea's birth. Mermaids everywhere good and bad celebrates it. Every year I asked Gajeel to put some flower petals in the sea and let it float. Then a glass bottle with a birthday wish in it.

Well I've gotta save the rest of the money for later too. Since gray bought me a present I should repay him.

I sigh and walk away from the vending machine. I sat down in my seat and put my head down.

Lunch time came and I walk to the infirmary.

"Juvia? Need something?" asked the nurse.

"Nope. Just tired" I said and lay on a bed.

I close my eyes. Well I didn't really get any sleep last night. I felt a weight laying next to me but my eyes where just too tired to open.

"It'll be fine..." a voice whispered.

I see a girl with dark black hair standing next to gray with their backs to me.

"Hes already taken..." the voice echoed.

I then see my self and Gray face to face with each other.

"I'm sorry" Grays voice echoes.

I see myself turn into bubbles floating into the sky then popping.

I open my eyes panting... a dream?

I close my eyes again and turn around. I felt something warm and then scoot closer to it. "Warm" I muttered. I then heard a low chuckle and my eyes open.

"G-gray Sama!" I sat up quickly and then had a headache from getting up to quickly. Gray pull me back down then cuddle me making me blush.

"Sorry Juvia...it's just that your so soft that you remind me of my stuff toy at home."

Stuff toy? "Don't tell anyone this but I can't sleep without hugging something."

"Okay Gray Sama" our second promise..this is fun.

This is like a dream coming true. Then I remember the bubbles.

"Gray...what would you do if you fell for a girl who's secretly a mermaid?" I asked.

"Well mermaids dont exist but if they do and I did fall for one of them...ill promise to never let her turn into sea foam but hold her close and tight like this" said gray cuddling me tighter and closer till our body touched.

That's when I realize hes half naked again. Oh well. That's the normal Gray right?

"I wont turn into bubbles" I whisper and slowly drifted off to sleep.

I won't turn into bubbles right?
