Once she forced me into the house, I cleared my tear-stained eyes to see all of our friends were sitting with beers laughing and having a great time. Except, of course, Danny.

When everyone noticed I was back, Correy and Jordon came up to me and put me on their shoulders and they started chanting "Tracy! Tracy!"

I screamed like a little girl and begged to be put down. Everyone laughed and kept chanting as Beth handed me a beer.

The chanting went from "Tracy! Tracy!" to "Chug! Chug! Chug!"

Trying not to be that one annoying girl, I abandoned my shyness and drank the whole bottle in one go.

When the bottle was empty I held it high in the air and wiped a drop of it off my lip.

It went dead silent for about six seconds..

Then I was suddenly encircled and everybody made an effort to get me up in the air. I heard cheering and chanting and I was having the best time.

Then after a few minutes of cheering and chanting, it went dead silent again. You could hear a pin drop.

Suddenly, we heard a blood-curdling scream from the other room.

Our eyes all widened and I ran to investigate.

I sprinted into the kitchen to find Annie sitting on the floor in a small pool of blood.

"What the hell happened?" I shrieked and suddenly we were surrounded by our friends.

"Some IDIOT must have missed the trash can and threw a beer bottle on the ground!" she cried.

"It's OK Annie look at me." I said calmly as I held her chin and made her look into my eyes.

Being a med-student, I knew how to handle these types of situations.

Everyone just stared at me waiting for me to say something. She was covering her leg with her hands and blood was seeping through the spaces between her fingers. The smell was nauseating but I worked through it.

I knelt down, rolled up my sleeves and calmly said

"Correy keep her attention." He sat beside her and helped her get the blood off her hands with a wet towel.

"Don't look Annie, OK?" I asked with a deep breath as I rolled up her pant leg to inspect the wound. She nodded and kept her attention on Correy.

There was a six or seven inch gash going down her lower calf. It must have punctured a vein to bleed this much. It wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't a huge fragment of sticky, beer-pungent glass stuck in the cut.

"Oh honey you got it bad--- I.. I mean you're gonna be fine!" I tried to fake a smile as I touched the glass.

At the lightest touch she screamed and started to cry harder.

I stood up and looked at Claire. "Go get the black box from my room, it has everything I need in it."

Then I focused my gaze on Jordon and instructed him to get me a flashlight, rag, antiseptic fluid (rubbing alcohol) and ice.

They both ran and were back in a split second. I ripped the necklace from my neck and used the key I kept on it to unlock my box.

In the box was all of my medical supplies and personal possessions.

"Okay, Annie. This is gonna sting like hell but only for a second. Squeeze Correy's hand if you need to." I said with an intense tone in my voice.

I twisted the cap off the rubbing alcohol and poured it on the wound to clean it out.

She screamed the loudest I've ever heard in my life. I fought tears of pity and I noticed Correy was doing the same. Beth and Jordon couldn't even be in the room.
