I flopped down on the couch, sore and utterly exhausted. My legs and feet were pounding with a solid ache that never really faded away. I groaned, turning my hips into the couch and burying my face in the throw pillow. I didn't even have the energy to take off my nasty work shoes. I think I'm just gonna lay here for a couple minutes then I'll get up and go to bed.

"Y/n?" I heard Jack ask from across the room. I groaned and opened my eyes. Early morning light was filtering through the windows.

"Fuck..." I mumbled into the pillow. "What time is it?"

"Just after seven." He sounded closer now.

"Damn. I didn't mean to fall asleep here." I sat up, raking my fingers through my ratty ponytail. Jack sat down next to me, eyeing me with a worried look.

"What time did you get home?"

"Four? I think? I'm not sure" he put his hand on my shoulder and pushed gently.

"Maybe you should go back to bed," I laughed, giving up on my hair.

"I look terrible, don't I?" he grimaced, looking guilty.

"You just look tired."

"I'll take that as a yes." I remarked with a roll of my eyes. He just shrugged, still looking guilty. I sat up higher and tried to stretch, wincing at my sore back. I grumbled to myself, rubbing my fingers into the overworked muscles. Jack frowned next to me.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm good. My back is just sore. And my feet. And my legs. And you know, most of my body." Jack sat by quietly, chewing on his lower lip. Raising an eyebrow in question, I poked his shoulder. Instead of answering my silent question he just stood up and gestured for me to follow. Deciding to humor him I stood up, facing him with an amused smile. His hands on my shoulders turned me around and then I felt his hands start to knead at the muscles in my back. Immediately, I closed my eyes and leaned into his hands. I heard him snicker behind me. He worked his hands up my back to my shoulders, digging his thumbs in. I dropped my head, sighing softly. He took his hands away and I stumbled back without his support. He caught me, holding me up. I blushed and stood up straight, taking my own weight. I turned around, scratching at my head awkwardly.

"Sorry... that felt really good though." He just smiled, the tips of his ears pink.

"I can keep doing it if you want." I looked up at him pleadingly.

"Please?" he laughed, shaking his head at me.

"Only because you asked nicely, lay down on the carpet." I turned around and did as he asked, settling my chin on my forearms. I heard him kneel down behind me, and then he was digging his thumbs into my lower back, right where it hurt the most. I winced in pain at the tense muscles being agitated but he just rubbed the pain away with the heel of his hand.

"You are the greatest." I groaned into my arms, blushing again at how my voice sounded. I heard his dry chuckle off to my left.

"You've got a ton of knots in your back." He commented conversationally. I just hummed, melting under his soft hands. He worked his way slowly up to my shoulders and it was like my muscles were turning to water. He was really good at this. I heard him humming softly under his breath and I realized that I had gone completely silent. It probably felt really awkward for him.

"Sorry, I got kind of quiet on you."

"It's fine. You look like you're about to fall asleep."

"There's definitely a dangerous chance of that happening." I turned my head to the side, so my cheek was pressed into my forearm. I sighed deeply, content and calm. "I hope you know that now I'm going to have to lock you up in the basement and keep you as my personal masseuse." He snorted, working away a knot near the small of my back.
