"W-What?" Kaia questioned. She turned around and Sage looked at her with a stern face. There faces were just inches away from eachother.

"The princess," she points to the angel, "Is supposed to defeat her father, the eagle. If she doesn't, we'll all be destroyed." She pointed to the wall across these paintings. The eagle stood on a throne and below him souls seemed to be drowning in fire. Kaia gulped in fear. She? She was supposed to stop her father? How?

Just then the door opened and three people walked in. The brunet elf girl, a tall blonde haired boy with sharp teeth, and a women with straight black hair and a lower half of a snake. The brunet looked over and her face lit up. She ran over and tackle hugged Sage. "Your alive!" She exclaimed happily.

"Well of course I am, I don't plan on dying yet." She chuckled. The brunet let her go and looked over at me. "Who is this?" She asked warily, eying me up and down.

"Mai, this is Kaia." Sage introduced us. Mai nodded at me and then smiled at Sage. They seemed to be really close. Then all the people gathered around the table. Kaia shyly lurked by Sage.

"Who is this girl, Sage." Asked the snake-women sternly. Her presence seemed to put Kaia at nerve.

"This is Kaia, we can trust her." She nodded at the women. Kaia smiled a bit at the word trust.

"All right, so we are all here?" The snake-women asked glancing around. The tall blonde spoke up.

"Vena is still on her mission to take over the base out in the south jungle." He explained.

"Very well, we must explain things without her. Alex, how did your job go." The tall blonde shifted nervously.

"Well, Madam, many of my troops were lost but we achieved our objective." Alex explained. The women sighed and then nodded.

As they went around the room explaining there missions and how they had gone Kaia studied the people in the room. Tar seemed to be the one who overlooked information and locations. Madam was the bossy teacher, Mai was quiet but kept playing around. Alex kept nervously glancing around the room. Sage kept cool and collected but seemed to be raring to go blow up some stuff.

Kaia leaned in next to Sage and nudged her. She looked at her for answers. Sage leaned in and explained. "All of us have our own squad of soldiers. Madam usually bosses everyone around but she isn't the leader, my father is. All of us usually decide what to do together. We have a healers division, market division, kid caretaker division, soldier division, and hunting division." She explained quietly. "Madam, Alex, Vena, Mai, and I each have a soldier division we command." Kaia nodded at this information.

"Can I be in your squad? I want to stay with you." She asked hopefully. Sage stared at her a bit touched and then replied.

"Sure, why not." She responded. Kaia smiled.

"Hold on, I think I recognize you." Said Madam, looking at Kaia. Her heart stopped for a second and she pulled at her shirt nervously.

"What...do you mean?" She responded.

"Hold on, y--" Madam was cut short with a large explosion. The room shook and rock and dust fell from the ceiling.

"The hell!?" Exclaimed Tar. Mai jumped up and ran over to the door. As she opened it she was thrown back by another explosion.

"Mai!!" Screamed Sage as she ran over to her friend. She picked her up and put her over her shoulder.

"Sage, get Kaia out of here." Demanded Madam. She seemed to have figured out her secret. Sage nodded and ran over to Kaia. She helped her up as the room shook again and much larger rocks started to fall form the ceiling.
