Harry sat next to Louis' hospital bed on a small plastic chair holding his boyfriends hand and watching him sleep.
He looked so small and pale, so sick and vulnerable.

Severe food poisoning leading to serious dehydration had been the diagnosis.

The had given Louis the fluids and the antibiotics he needed through a infusion. It had already been early in the evening the hospital staff had kicked  Harry out of Louis room not long after they had arrived at the emergency room.

Harry didn't sleep well the night alone in the hotel, he was too worried about Louis wellbeing. So he had gotten up early and was already at the hospital when the visiting hours started. He went to Louis room but the smaller man was still asleep and Harry didn't want to wake him.

Harry wondered why Louis hadn't just told him yesterday that he wasn't feeling well instead of trying to cope on his own. He would have cancelled the trip in a matter of seconds and taken care of Louis the whole day. But Louis had chosen to keep quiet about his illness, but why?

Harry was a little bit mad that Louis had just assumed Harry would rather have fun than take care of his boyfriend. He figured out that Louis hadn't spoken up because he didn't want to guilt Harry into staying.  This was so typical Louis. It didn't matter that he suffered as long as his friends or family  were happy.

Harry though back to the dinner were Louis had first meet Harry's Mum and Stepdad. They both a immediately took a liking in the small boy, because he was so polite, charming and made Harry visibly happy.

Louis had praised the curry Anne had made and had even took a second helping, something that was very rare for him. Anne was over the moon that Louis enjoyed the meal so much. And Harry had been truly happy that his family and his boyfriend had gotten along so well.

He remembered that Louis had been very quiet the whole drive back from his childhood home to Harrys flat right in the centre of London. He was a little bit worried but blamed it on Louis being tired.

That day they went to bed early. But then Harry woke up again in the middle of the night to small whimpers coming from the other side of the bed. Louis had laid there hugging his tummy and trying to be quiet and not wake Harry.

When asked what was wrong Louis confessed that he never eats curry because he always get's the worst stomach cramps later. Harry wondered why he hadn't said anything earlier knowing he would get sick. Louis had answered that he knew that it was very important to harry that he got along well with his parents. He wanted them to like him, so he didn't want to come off as rude.

But save to say the next time Harry told Anne what Louis could and couldn't eat, as he didn't want a repeat of the night.

Louis was just like this making others happy no matter what. Going to his best friends birthday party with a fever of over 39 degrees, helping his neighbour move out even though he had only had 3 hours of sleep. Missing the tube because he helped some tourists  buy their ticket.

Louis stirred, eyes slowly fluttering open. It took him a few seconds to get used to his surroundings than he looked at Harry his eyes questioning what was going on.

"I found you lying on the bathroom floor and than you decided it would be funny to try to die on me." Harry explained with just a small hint of anger in his voice.

"Louis I love you and when will you understand that you will always be my number one priority. Yes I was exited about the boat trip but I would have gladly taken care of you instead. Just tell me next time you are not feeling well. Even if you just broke your fingernail. I never want to find you like that again not knowing what is wrong with you. Promise to tell me next time ? "
