Chapter 1 (Chara)

Chara's POV

Today is the day. I am done with the abuse. I am done with the bullying. I am done with all of this. I am going to stop it all. I get a cut or bruse everytime I go home. Either my parents or siblings, even from myself. I can't even go to a grocery store without seeing somebody I know who decides to pick on me. Nobody cares about me. I have no friends. Today I will change it all. I stand at the top of Mt.Ebbot and I will jump. I don't care if I end up dead, if those rumors are true then I will end up killed by a monster. I keep a knife in my pocket though, just in case I end up surviving this all, I still can stab myself. I wear my green sweater with a yellow stripe, I always do. I have my short brown hair down, I always do. Now I do something I always wanted to do. "Goodbye everyone" I said in a hushed tone. That is when I jump down the hole, I jumped and I watched as I fell. I kept falling. I then saw something yellow. I got closer to the ground. They were flowers. I then hit the ground, landing on the flowers. There was a big thump as I hit the ground. I blacked out after that. I think I finally died?
"H-hello? Anybody there? I heard a thump and wondered if anything happened." I heard waking up. The voice sounded like a child. Maybe a boy? Sounds my age. I am thirteen. The kid sounds younger than me actually. Then I open my eyes. I am in a almost pitch black room. The only light come from the hole, the one I fell from. I stood up, almost falling. I then grabbed my knife from my pocket. Should I use it? I wondered. Then I heard something enter the room. "Hello? Oh! Ar-are you a human!?" It asked. What does it mean? Is it not a hu- does that mean it's a monster like those legends!? "Who are you!?" I yelled frightened. I tried not to show fear. "My name is Asriel. I'm the prince. Who are you?" He questioned. "Prince of what?" I asked avoiding answering any of his questions. "Prince of the monsters. So you are human. Most monsters would recognize me immediately. What is your name?" It asked me. So monsters are smart I guess.
"Ch-Chara..." I said cautiously.
"Step into the light. I want too see who I may be talking to. You can see me. I want to see you," I asked trying to act smart. The 'prince' stepped into the light. He is a goat? He looks like a goat that is just a bit different. He is bigger he walks on two legs, has paws. His fur is white. He wore a sweater alike to mine, except it has two yellow stripes instead of one. So monsters have the same sense of style? Interesting. "Again, my name is Asriel, Asriel Dreemurr. I am the prince of all monsters, the hope of the undergrounds. Chara was it? Chara, will you allow me to use my magics and heal you?" The monster asked.
I looked him in the eye and nodded in agreement. I was wounded, though not that badly. "Alright. Hold still and please don't make any noises. I promise this won't hurt. You can trust me," He said. I did as he said. I stood still and didn't make a sound. He closed his eyes and then red swirled around me and I saw my HP at 24 again. It went from 2 back to 24 in seconds! He healed me I guess.
"Th-thank you, Asriel," I thanked.
"No problem. Hey Chara, do you want to meet my parents? I don't know if you would be able to leave the undergrounds so maybe you could live with us!" Asriel asks me. I smiled. "Well, why not? Wait, why can't I leave?" I asked the prince. His smile faded a bit. "Well, have you ever heard of the legends?" He asked me. The legends are true then? Wholey! What is this!? "Those legends are true? The war? M-monsters have b-been trapped do-down here the wh-whole time!?" I stuttered. "I'll tell you while we walk to my house, alright?" He said as we started to walk. He summoned a fireball to his hand as a light. He talked to me all about how the monsters have been trapped down here and about some barrier, it was so strange. Why would my kind trap their kind!? What reason is there for trapping them!? "Do you know why humans trapped the monsters here? The stories I was told was so different," I asked. He looked down, then back at me. He thought for a moment then shrugged his shoulders. "If we knew we would be able to have confronted them and tell them they are wrong about us. Very few of us harmed them, and they would also harm us. Humans would hurt each other and if a monster was a witness they ended up being sent to jail and the human criminal would be free to do whatever. Humans are stupid!" Asriel said. He then looked at me wide eyed. "OH MY, I AM SO SORRY NOT ALL HUMANS I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW HUMANS ACT NOWADAYS! I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY!!!" He apologized almost yelling. I chuckled. "It's fine. Some humans are idiots. Most of them honestly. I am glad I don't have to go back honestly." I mumbled the last part. He smiled. I hope he didn't here the last part. He looked like he was going to say something but he didn't. We stayed silent until we got to a decent sized purple house. This is a cute house. "This is me and my parents house." He said. We went inside and I saw two goat like monsters. One of them had small horns, a small crown, a purple robe with a white symbol on it with a cape. The other had a golden beard and hair, a crown, large horns, a pink shirt and jeans(?). One seems to be the father and the other the mother. I am pretty sure the dad is the one with the beard and the mom is the one with the robe. "Mom! Dad! Look!" Asriel yelled out to his parents. His parents turned to me. Their expressions were hilarious but I didn't laugh. They both looked very shocked. "I-i-is-s... Th-th-tha-that a-a...." The mother tried to speak but couldn't she was so shocked."This is my friend, Chara! She is a human. She fell down and I helped her, I even healed her! I hope it's okay I brought her here," Asriel said that last part a little softer. His parents looked at me. "Chara is that your name?" The father said. I looked at him. He doesn't seem harmful in any way at all. "Yes. My name is Chara. I hope it's okay that I am here. I was told by Asriel that I cannot leave anyways," I said trying to act nicer to them so that I don't alert them in anyways. "I am Asgore, King Asgore Dreemurr," He said proudly. The three monsters smiled. "My name is Toriel, Queen Toriel Dreemurr. You are the first human to have fallen down here. What ever happened?" Toriel asked me. I don't know how to respond. I looked down, then after a few seconds looked back up. "I don't really remember. I just remember darkness, falling, and then waking up here. I remember the golden flowers and that's it," I didn't lie 100%. I do remember falling and darkness. It is a bit hard to remember everything bug I can still remember some things. She looked at me a bit confused. "Oh. Alright. I hope you are alright. Maybe you decided to go for a climb like an adventure! It doesn't matter much now anyways. Sorry I bothered asking," She apologized. She is very kind. "No need to apologize. It is completely fine," I said trying to act polite. She smiled at me approvingly. "I guess you could stay with us,since you are unable to return to the surface anyways," King Asgore said. "Oh of coarse! They need a place to stay until we can figure out how the barrier can be broken. Other than the obvious way... But if coarse you could stay with us! It will be like we adopted you I guess," The Queen approves. "Well I guess it's settled! Chara, you can stay with us!" Prince Asriel said. "Thank-you all so much!" I thanked them excitedly.
They showed me around the house and we all chatted and they told me all about monsters and such and I told them a bit about humans. I am sharing a room with Asriel which is cool I guess.
"The bed should go.... Here!" Toriel instructed Asgore for the thousands time. "But that's the spot it was in originally!" Asgore complained. "Honey we need it to be place purr-fectly!" Toriel joked. Asgore let out a sigh while Toriel and I laughed at her pun. "Good one Queen," I said. "Dear you don't have to call me Queen. Call me whatever you would like. Even 'mom' would be fine to be honest maybe not yet but you may call me whatever you want, alright?" She told me softly. "Alright, could I just call you Toriel?" I asked her softly. She looked at me and I could see the happiness in her eyes. "Anything you would like my child." She said calmly. She and Asgore then started setting up the room again.
*An hour later.....
"So Prince Asriel, is it okay that I'm staying here with you guys? I just feel like it might bother you," I asked Asriel. He looks at me and smiled. "Of coarse not. I think we will have lots of fun together, and my parents seem happy to have you around to!" He said joyfully. "Alright. I just don't want to bother anybody," I said as my smile faded. I hope monsters are nicer than humans are. "Chara, you alright?" Asriel asked with concern in his voice. "Yeah, I'm fine," I lied. I had to say that a lot, mostly to teachers. The teachers that actually pretended to care unlike most. "Are you sure? You just seem a bit down. Is it because you are down here? I mean it is understandable to be upset," Asriel asked me concerned. "Prince I am okay. There is no need for worries," I reassured. He looked up at me and smiled. "Alrighty then. I just don't want you to be upset. And please just call me Asriel, or even Azzy is fine with me!" Asriel said. I smiled. "Alrighty then, Azzy," I teased.
"Children, dinner is ready! Tonight we will have cinnamon butterscotch pie, tomorrow we shall have snail pie but I thought to hold off for tonight as a celebration!" Toriel announced.
*After a year......
"Het Chara! Do your creepy smile!"
"No." I said firmly. I saw the camera and remembered the last time. "Please!" He begged me. I groaned and did my 'creepy smile' as he says.
"Ha! I left t the cap on, on purpose so now your smiling for nooooo reason!" He laughed a bit. "Is that what you call a prank?" I asked in a teasing kind of tone. I looked down and thought to myself more. "Hey Azzy, remember when we tried to make pie?" I asked.
"Y-yeah... We added buttercups when it asked for cups if butter. Dad got really suck. And mom looked very worried. I should've just laughed it off like you. Why do you ask?" He asked me. "Well, turn of the camera," I asked him. "Oh okay, yeah," Asriel turned the camera off. I told him my plan to free everyone. I would eat a flower. I would die. He would use my soul to pass through that barrier. He would kill six humans. He would use my soul and six human souls to break the barrier. Simple as that. He agreed. He couldn't have said no to a plan like that. But he doesn't know all of it. He will finally see how terrible humanity is. I hope he doesn't get hurt though. He won't if he sticks to the plan.
*Five months later....
The plan is in action....

I don't know how much longer.....
"A-Azzy..... Please..... T-take me..... Take me t-to th-the-the flowers in m-my village... Before I-I die......please?" I asked of him. Infront of mom and dad. They're expressions were hard to look at. At least I will finally leave this world for good.

I can see my body. Laying in my death bed. I am dead. Finally! I just need to wait for Azzy to take the soul and then we will have saved the monsters!

Welp that chapter was weird! Sorry the first actual chapter was like that but that is just how I write! I suck I know! I hope it wasn't to to bad! Anyways I hope you guys at least thought it was decent. Cya!
