Bella POV

Flowey continued to help me. Puzzle after puzzle. He would pop up and show me what to do. Monsters attacked me, I managed to defend myself. I promised Flowey I wouldn't hurt any monsters, I will stay true to that promise. I was dancing around and I saw a big purple house. It looked cute. I looked at it for a few seconds. "Hey Flowey!" I yelled, and then the little yellow flower popped up next to me. "Howdy! What is it Bella?" Flowey asked with a smile knowing he was useful. "I was wondering about this house. It seems different from the other houses. I don't know why but it seems a bit bigger and something else, I can't place my finger on it. Hmm," I started loosing track of my thoughts. "That house? Oh well that's M-the old Queens. THE royal family used to live there until they moved. But the Queen left them after their children had passed. The Queen now lives there. She is very nice. Queen Toriel. I knew her very well, we don't talk anymore since something had happened. I don't want to see her but you could go and knock on her door. She might be able to help you get home," Flowey said. Why doesn't he want to speak to his old friend? Oh well I probably shouldn't ask. Maybe I could ask her how to exit, It would be nice to meet a monster who wont immediately try and kill me I guess. Maybe staying with her would be better than living on the streets on the surface. I don't think I can go home. "I guess I will knock and at least meet her. You sure you wouldn't like to see her?" I asked the golden flower with a big smile on my face. Flowey just shook his head a bit and looked up at me. "No, I couldn't. I did some things that weren't that nice to her. She probably doesn't even remember me because of it." He said starting to look away from me. He stared at the door. I looked at it as well. "I guess I'll go knock on her door now, see you later Flowey!" I said keeping my smile. I walked over to the door and knocked. I was a bit nervous since all the other monsters tried hurting me, Flowey talked of her like she was a great monster so I have hope. I knocked. Knock knock, knock knock. (I'm imagining Bella knocking like in Frozen. Don't judge.) The door opened revealing a monster looking alike to a...goat? She was much bigger than a goat obviously. She stood on two legs. She has red eyes and a purple robe with down weird simble, that same simble I have seen on the doors and Al around the ruins. "Hello?" She asked as she looked down towards me. She gasped and stepped back. "Oh my! No! He can't have his way! Oh my!" She yelled. I gave a questioning look and looked up at her. "Oh, I am so sorry my child. I am sorry for the sudden outburst, that was rude of me. I am Toriel, you may call me whatever you would like though. Is there something you need?" She spoke gently, motherly. She reminded me of my mother before she passed. "Toriel? Is there a place to stay around here? I don't have money though but I could figure something out if you brought me to a hotel. For the night?" I asked looking at her. I knew it was late to be exploring, and I was getting quite tired. "My child, you could stay here if you would like. I ah a spare room that you could stay in. It is up to you. If you do not trust me that is fine but it is always an option. This door is open to you always," she offered. "Could I sleep over then? Oh and I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Bella," I introduced myself. Moving my hair away from my face. "What a lovely name. Come on in. You may stay over here as long as you may need. And if you need to exit the ruins just ask. But I would tomorrow since it is getting late. Come in," She stepped out of the way allowing me inside. I walked inside to see a stairway and two hallways leading in different directions. "Bella, this way is the room you will stay in. Come along," Toriel guided. I wonder where Flowey went. I followed Toriel to the room. There is two beds, a chest on the end of one of the beds filled with toys. There is macaroni art of a flower, reminds me of Flowey. There was a dresser and a set or drawers with shoes. "It looks amazing. Thank you for letting me stay here Toriel!" I thanked her keeping my smiling. "No need to thank me, I'm just doing what any monster with a heart would do. Although most monsters don't these days," she said as her voice trailed off. "What do you mean?" I asked trying not to show concern. I think I failed. She looked me in the eyes, studying my facial expressions. She then smiled. "You may not worry. Most monsters may attack you, you've gotten this far so you must know this by now. But past the ruins more and more monsters. They do not hesitate to hurt. Some may try to become your friend. Some may immediately try and harm you. some may ignore your presence entirely. But most will try to kill you. That king and all guards especially. If you can manage to speak to the king, maybe he will let you through? If you do wish to leave I will lead you to the door tomorrow. For now rest is the best thing for you. Now good night my child," she said warmly. I smiled and looked up at her. "Good night Toriel. I made a promise to a monster I passed, he seemed worried I would harm monsters, so I promised him I would not harm any monster. I plan to keep that," I said smiling proudly. "Get your rest young one, and I hope you meet at promise as well. Sweet dreams." She said as I got comfortable in my bed.
I quickly fell asleep.
I woke up to a delicious smell. Pancakes! I opened my eyes and stood up. On the ground i saw a paltry with a few pancakes on it along with a fork and knife. I grabbed the plate and ate it like it was the first time I had eaten in years. As I left the room I checked in the mirror on the wall. I fixed my Ahir a bit and continue walking down the hallway. I saw Toriel in a chair reading a book. "Good morning child. Did you eat your breakfast? Humans eat pancakes as well do they not?" She asked me. She spoke like she were talking to somebody of power, and not to a kid. "They were absolutely delicious. I forgot, I should go bring the plate to the kitchen. Sorry," I apologized. "Oh I'll grab it later, no need to worry. Oh I almost forgot, you wish to leave the ruins correct?" She asked me. I almost forgot she had the way out. "Oh yes. Would you mind if I stayed just a bit longer so I am ready?" She kept her smile as she placed a bookmark in its spot. "Of coarse. Excuse me but I am going to take a nap, wake me if you need something. As long as you stay away from the basement. The way out is through there and I wish to see you out if that is alright. Anyways I, you can explore if you would like, as long as you don't go to far and don't cause troubles." She said before leaving. "Have a good nap Miss Toriel." I said as she left. After she had gone to her room I walked out side to see the one and only Flowey. "Howdy there Bella!" He said happily.
"Hi Flowey! I'm going to Snowdin today! Toriels taking a nap so I came here! Anyways, any advice for Snowdin?" I asked him. "Well, the name explains it all. It's really cold and snowy!" He said shivering at the thought of it. "So never take my sweater off?" I asked. He nodded. "Yup. Oh and watch out for any dogs. They will try to kill you. They are guards. Oh but there is one small one, be very careful of him. His name is Toby but most people just call him annoying dog. He is alot of trouble," he warned me. "Got it. Stay away from dogs. Do you think Toriel is awake yet?" I asked the golden flower. "Give her another twenty minutes then check, unless your that impatient. Then go ahead!" He advised. "I'll wait a bit more." I said sitting down comfortably. "Okay." He said. We talked about random stuff for half an hour u til Flowey just left without any warning. "Hello my child," I heard Toriel say. Flowey really doesn't want to see her. "Hi! Did you have a nice nap?" I asked her. "Oh yes, did you explore?" She asked me. "No, I just sat here and talked to any monster that passed by. None seemed to want to fight which was good," I said. I hate lying but it's not all wrong. "That's wonderful. Now, are you ready to go to Snowdin?" She asked me. I nodded. "Yeah, I am in no hurry though." I informed. "Oh that's fine, I assumed you wanted to get home immediately. Sorry," she apologized. "No need to be sorry, I understand completely. And if you are ready for me to leave then I will go." I smiled. She nodded. "Follow me then," she said walking to the door. We went to the basement and walked down a long corridor. Eventually we reached a large door. "Here is the exit. Now, promise you will be careful and you won't hurt others. Please." She said in her usual kind voice. "Of course. I would never hurt anyone and I will try ro be as careful as possible." I promised. She smiled and opened the door. "Through this door is Snowdin. It is very cold so make sure to go inside every so often. Good luck my child." She said as I walked through the door. "Bye!" I yelled as I continued walking.
